Seen quite a few fort(resses)s but this one has unique features.
Very worthwhile.
Overall, you need to be in good physical condition: lots of stairs.
The South entrance is for "able-bodied" visitors, the North, the others, but you have to ring at the door and wait for it to be unlocked.

The Ski resort Krahule is not one from the biggest resorts ich the Slovakia, but it is also great place for the family skiing. the prices for the skipass are about 50% lower than in the big resorts like Donovaly or Chopok. In the sunny weather you can ride your ski in the T-Shirt and concurrently sunbathe. If you are not the skiing fan, you can sit in the cotage with terrase and bar on the top of the hill. If you would like to visit the middle of Slovakia and have a good time with ski, go to the Krahule Ski resorts. You will be kindly amazed.

Who knows, maybe also coins for your country are or were once produced in mint in Kremnica. The Mint in Kremnica was established in 1328 by king Charles Robert from the House Anjou and for nearly 700 years it has been continuosly producing mint articles, which rank in many terms to the world`s top products. Mint can be visited - in guided tour you can see the old minting room with machines which are almost 100 years old with trademark Vulkan and still work but also new modern minting room. And sure you can see for which country and in which year the mint in Kremnica produced coins. Beside coins the mint in Kremnica produce also high-quality plaques, tokens, badges, pendants, tie pins, stamps, labels, awards, Mayor's chains, orders and many other articles.
I think it is very interesting.

You can visit a part of the mine where the gold and the silver were taken. During one hour visit inside the mine you can see parts dedicated to different periods of gold mining (wearing overals, helmets with lamp) and you can also recognize what is an absolute dark when all the lights will be turned off for several minutes (the old miners knows how to move inside the mine in the dark - to save lightning fat in the lamp).

In Kremnicke Bane. little village in the middle of Slovakia can find the tourists the geographical middle of the Europe. Near the little church is the stone with the memorial panel with the signature Middle of the Europe. If you are visiting Kremnica, you can find also this point. It is about 10 minutes from Kremnica by car. You can drink here the spring water from the "EURO" spring well.
It is nice to see it and make some pictures :-)

Like another world, 2017/18 winter looks like good season. 50cm of snow, 1km long ski track, very wide with beautiful view on Mountains. Better track than Ski Krahule. As improvement: missing buffet with hot beverages on track, there are possibilities in near hotel but if not enough snow, i imagine u have to walk. This winter u can access all on ski. Will come back for sure.
