Main beach on Koufonissia, Pori Beach is the big long crescent shaped beach you are longing to.
Pleasantly served by not one but two restaurants, a day at Pori is on your agenda as it's pretty much the only game in town. Crystalline waters and pretty shallow for 500M, not a lot of shade so bring your cover.
Keep the beach clean, it was when you got here, please keep it that way.

The beach is a little small and can get busy but as an overall, it feels cosy with soft sand to walk on with crystal clear sea. It's also good that there is a restaurant, so quick snack when you are hungry or thirsty is available straight away.

The trip with the boat from Ano Koufonisia is relaxing. You have to visit the Laki beach. It has some small stones to enter but the water is perfect!!!!! Relaxing environment!!!

Pori is the best, but this is closer, within walking distance really. The restaurant seems a little wierd, but I did not visit. The sand is gorgeous though.

Our group of friends stayed here for 2 nights while circumnavigating several of the Small Cyclades and it was a great place. The beach is spectacular and the water in June is still cool enough to be refreshing, unlike during the heat of the summer.

Ammos is a sandy beach with crystal clear waters located next to the port.
If you have rented a room in the village then this beach will be right next to you. Just get out and walk until the square of the village and there it is. The water is great with a kind of Emerald green color that makes you want to stay there for ever. You don't have to carry anything with you because everything is a few steps away. Perfect choice if you are tired and don't want to visit other Beaches.

This whole coastline is simply stunning, beautiful cliff forms and crystal clear blue sea and this natural hole is a lovely spot along the way. Very rough rock forms around the edges and not easy or safe to get close up to. It would seem that some dive or jump in to it and whilst it is certainly deep and clear enough, it would be done with some risk. Once in, it is possible to swim under an arch to the open sea and clamber out up the rocks. Not for the faint hearted, but lovely to look at.

This place doesn't look like much from the beach but it's beautiful. Great views away from the hustle and bustle of the port. First class menu of unusual local dishes. Yes it's more expensive than the traditional tavernas and bars, but if that's what you want go somewhere else. Wine was excellent - came back next morning for coffees and they were fab too. Based on our neighbours, the breakfast is pretty good as well.

This island has lots of hidden gems and Mylos is one of them. Great music, great cocktails, delicious finger food and ver friendly, smiley waiters. Top place!! Try especially 'Summer Kiss' cocktail, it's delicious. On top of everything, Mylos has a fantastic view of the island, just top of the marina. Sunset is behind you but who cares, this place has the ambience. It's little bit on the expensive side, this is my only criticism but won't stop me to come here every night during my stay.

Cafe Scholio is a beautiful cafe / bar where you can enjoy your cafe or your drink with interesting people, Mimis and Nena. Cafe Scholio was an Old School in Koufonissi. Don't miss crepes....
In my opinion people are those who make a place unique and mimis and nena
(The owners)are from that kind of persons who make coufonisi and the bar scholio one of the most beautiful places to visit.so if you ever find yourselves in coufonisi do not hesitate to visit scholio and meet and talk with this lovely couple.
