The Czech Republic's most famed spa destination, Karlovy Vary - or Carlsbad - saw 200 spa houses sprout by the end of the 1500s. The springs in this idyllic, lush, peaceful Tepla valley are said to cure an almanac's worth of metabolic and gastric issues. Visitors still flock to this town of Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings. Five beautiful Colonnades straddle hot springs where visitors try aquatherapy and drink the mineral-rich water. The town also has a respected international film festival.

The church lies up a hill in a very nice area, between impressive buildings and green parks. Nice walk up. It somewhat seems a little out of place and rather surreal with it's blue, white and gold splendour but truely worth seeing.

This scenic and well-manicured city park features Sádová Kolonáda, an ornate, wrought-iron gazebo.
If you want to escape the crowds this park is for you.I am not sure if the rule applied in summer months but during winter this park is almost deserted. There is a statue of Antonin Dvorak, famous Czech composer there and the Park Colonnade is on the edge of the park.

Running along the Ohre River, the busy Nova Louka is the site of the city's main theater.
When I arrived to Karlovy Vary I immediately fell in love with how gorgeous this town was!, small but perfect, I walked and walked from the bus station to the center of the city and I just couldn't take how clean and beautiful it was! When I arrived at my hotel I couldn't just stay there, I walked some more and it was perfect! Great restaurants, people were very friendly and I loved the Christal work they do there! it's simply amazing! I loved it!
Its not a party town, its more relaxed, I went there by myself and I loved my me time, just walking and breathing fresh air!

During our visit in August the most important and the hottest spring of Karlovy Vary (Vridlo) had been shifted outside due to some reconstruction work and was not in its original glass & steel hall.
Fortunately, one could touch and feel the temperature of the water which is at 72 deg. Since the water is too hot for drinking five drinking bowls in which the temperature has been cooled down are placed in the building.
This spring is just at the beginning of stara louka, a street that is a must visit for tourists to this lovely town.

its quite a quick and amazing peak into the world of glass manufacturing.. the different stages of production of awe inspiring glass creations.. these guys are true crafts men with awesome skills to come out with such creations in glass.. you'll enjoy this visit whether or not you are an engineering/science buff!! The gallery is quite expensive, but you'll find it quite irresistible to leave without a genuine Moser!!

Located on a hill overlooking the region's hottest spring, this church features an 18th century deanery.
The interior was not accessible; however, the exterior and its grounds were simply beautiful. This is located within steps of the entrance to the thermal hot Springs, which was not accessible at the time of visit.

Probably the least fancy of the Kolonaden, but all the same a must see attraction. Again, you can capture the sense of this beautiful spa town and that everything is about making you feel good about your health.
