Coming to durpin and visiting the buddist monastery is a must for the tourists that come to Kalimpong. It's a bit cold as the monastery lies at the peak of the hill but excluding that the view is really awesome from the top floor of the monastery.

The temple located in a serine place with beautiful view of the city. We could see the clouds moving from one end to other lazily and sometimes covering the temple. A quiet place to spend some time.

With spiralling roads going up through the forest covered by long trees and green foliage the journey to the school is enchanting. The old buildings, Playgrounds and the grand old Bungalow of the Principal tell tales of this great institution. This is a place where sociological, cultural and environmental chronicles could be shared with the younger generations across the globe.

Not much to rely on the name given by them! Equipments and science models have become non working and obsolete, no one to guide you around, no proper basic facilities. Though tickets are charged yet I'm sceptical whether the money is used for the betterment. But ya outdoor dinosaur models are good.

Good statue of Lord Hanuman...One can even see it from the road..will have to climb steps to reach at top..But can be easily manageable.. senior citizens might struggle. View from top is also good..So go for it..

It is a short drive from Kalimpong. The road to this gumpha was really interesting as it went across villages and farming land in form of step cultivation. This small gumpha situated at a location similar like valley. This is the oldest monastery in Kalimpong which was built in 1692. It's also known as the Bhutan Monastery. The place is as usual peaceful with lots of greenery surrounding it. Monk stays in the same premises.
