Felt safe all the time, safety is their priority
Fun:
Extremely entertaining
Everyone working here is local to the town they service, they know they know river and Mountains like their home.
Stayed at hostal, nothing fancy but was clean and adventurous!
Food:
Amazing food and service, the ladies that coom for you deserve a 10+!
Guides are extremely good at what their do and they love it so makes it even more fun
Access:
I flew from california to Veracruz airport, we then drove to jalcomulco, got lost a lot, but didnt have any issues on the drive there, felt fairly safe.
Will keep coming back!

We saw pictures of the river near Jalcomulco and couldn't wait to rafting. I emailed all the companies I could find online and the team from Huitzilapan Expediciones replied really quickly, provided great info and a fair price and sounded genuinely keen to take us down the river. We caught the bus out from Xalapa via Coatepec and received a very warm welcome from the team. After a great local breakfast down the road we headed out with Benji and the team and had a superb few hours on the river. Very clear training and great navigation down the river meant we had loads of fun enjoying the rapids and the incredible environment around Rio Pescales. There's plenty of teams to choose from but Huitzilapan Expediciones is a family based cooperative with years of experience who genuinely care about their river and their clients. We couldn't have been happier. Thanks guys!

The staff is very nice, the concept of the camp is great you can get a cabin or just stay in tent. They offer different activities during the day.
The pool is nice and clean. Theres not to much options on food and snacks but is decent.

If you find yourself in the state of Veracruz near the Capital city of Xalapa (or Jalapa both are used) a short 45 mins drive and you will be in the small town of Jalcomulco which is the whitewater rafting center of Mexico. Don't hesitate to spend a day rafting the river Pescados with Proadventure. The owners Raul & Isabel are gracious hosts, and all the staff as well. Here you will find highly skilled local guides that have been guiding on average 10-15 years. They offer rafting or package deals that include hotel, rafting and various other adventure activities like; Zip-lining, rappelling, paintball, hikes etc..

Es el segundo año consecutivo que acudimos con esta compañía a realizar el rafting y el rapel. Dos cosas que valoramos enormemente del servicio que nos brinda esta empresa es 1. La seguridad 2. Que al ser pequeños grupos el servicio es personalizado. Charlie que es el guia siempre esta dispuesto apoyarte en cualquier necesidad, y Kira quien es la administrativa siempre esta al pendiente de que todo salga super. Definitivamente es una compañía que recomendamos si piensas hacer un descenso en rio. Pregunta por los paquetes que tienen ya que constantemente tienen nuevas ofertas.
