Huyi District (Chinese: 鄠邑区; pinyin: Hùyì Qū) also formerly known as Hu County, or Huxian, (simplified Chinese: 户县; traditional Chinese: 戶縣; pinyin: Hù Xiàn) is under the administration of Xi'an, the capital city of the Chinese province of Shaanxi, with a population of about 578,000. The district borders the prefecture-level cities of Xianyang to the north and Ankang to the south and Chang'an District to the east.

This renovated 118-foot tower was built in 1384 and moved to its present site in the city center in 1582.
Drum Tower will stay in your memory but Bell Tower should be looked at from the outside. Not worth paying the entrance fee of any kind. What may be of some interest is Bell Tower Tea House where the commercialized Chinese style tea presentations are performed with immediate channeling into the gift shop naturally.

I once read a novel about Kumarajiva (a great Buddhist monk) and his life story, and know that Caotang Temple is the place where he translated the great Buddhist sutra. So I planned to visit this place. Caotang Temple is located at the foot of north Gui Peak of Hu County, Xian. It is famous for a historical celebrity Kumarajiva who translated Buddhist sutra into Chinese. The temple was said to be built in the East Jin Dynasty. The view arround the temple is also very beatiful.

I was taken here by my hosts one afternoon who know I like walking up Mountains! This was a lovely walk along and up a valley. The views of the rocks, trees, streams and Waterfalls were magnificent. Unfortunately we did not have sufficient time to walk all of it but what I saw would attract me to return.

It is easy to access by pulic transit from Hu county.
The admission is not expensive only RMB 25 for adult and half price for kids higher than 1.2m.
Stone tablets are very attractive.
The legend of the ancient tree revives after the master's tomb was restored from Chinese Culture Revolution is amazing.
The expansion is under construction in the back during the visit.
The ancient buildings need funds to protect.
A holy Taoist worship place.
The master is known by Chinese novel.
