Ooh, i really enjoyed the food here! it's a restaurant so don't expect hawker fare prices definitely, =) however, having said so, the price is very reasonable and food is delicious! we had the Claypot Pork Belly (RM12), medium "Four Heavenly Kings" vegetable dish (RM18) and the Grilled Stingray (RM15) which was all so good! the portions were excellent (except for the vege) for the price. The only regret i have is that i only went with my husband, 2 pax, else we could've tried their Curry Prawns in Bread, and other dishes, haha! And the lady serving us was kind. She patiently let us know the price-per-kg for alot of fishes, haha! Really appreciate the service. Good food & value for money!

Great little restaurant which has both an "open-air" section and a "restaurant" section. No menu to look at but our host was fantastic, offered to bring us some breads with a variety of small dishes, with the invitation to order more of anything we liked. All vegetarian as we requested. Good food, 3 people very satisfied for the equivalent of $10 Australian. Please note though - if you're searching for this restaurant using internet maps etc, it's actually called "Sri Annapoorana".

Just across the road from the stunning Lake Gardens is my favourite restaurant in Taiping. It has a modest collection of hawker stalls, but they are all of very high quality. I've sampled most of the stalls and I love them all. They are also absurdly cheap by Western standards. The Malaysian coffee (Kopi) with condensed milk is fabulous. I have to single out the seafood soup. Our girls loved the wonton mee and satay. But the chicken rice, laksa and everything else are delicious. I could have eaten here at every meal!

It is located behind the former Majestic Cinema (now snooker centre). From the circus ground it is about 50 meters. You will see a big 'S" on the sign board.
All the while this place has been serving good chinese food and the sea food is really good and fresh. They cater for wedding dinners and also big functions. Its better to go in a group and order the dishes.
they have maintained the quality of the food all the time. Prices are a bit high but quality wise there is no complain.
They have ample staff and service is good.

Had an absolutely awesome seafood porridge for lunch. In it was shark meat, fish balls and prawns . The seafood was fresh and springy. Ordered an additional dish of steamed lala which was done very superbly as well.
And the bill came to RM 50.45 for the meal plus 2 drinks.
Special tips : there is a side table which houses local produces for sale. Bought 600g of dried shrimps for RM38 which was a decent deal.

Taiping literally grew up with this bowl of delish rice noodles in rich chicken broth. From the days they operated from a stall by the drain, they have since located themself along Market Road.
Ah Lan-che, the previous proprietress - yes, she has since retired - brought this distinct flavour Taipingnites have come to call their comfort food.
Imagine my surprise when I saw the new team, with some familiar faces, manning the counter.
In distinct red uniform, the new Kakak has somewhat retained the original presentation of the noodles but with a refreshed purpose.
Yes, the previous was more salty and generous MSG. This time, the sweetness of the broth is apparent. And the after-thirst is somewhat tucked away in oblivion.
Its still Kakak's signature bowl; but re-engineered to be around for another few generations.
You should try it.

This restaurant shares the same building with Soon Lee restaurant so we were initially confused when searching for this. Staff were also initially slow to respond when we asked for the menu.
We ordered curry vegetables, butter prawns and asam fish. The visual presentation of the dishes could be better. Taste was slightly above average but not spectacular.

We have been at this restaurant twice – for the buffet breakfast and for dinner. The breakfast - the selection was average and nothing really impressed us. The dinner’s menu was very interesting and our group of eight ordered a lot of different dishes to share.
The service was good but they really did not pay any attention to our request – no mushroom. The mushrooms were found in every dish; even our host specifically mentioned that in Chinese & English that no mushrooms

The thosai, roti chanai and meals were tasty and reasonably priced. The best part of this restuarant is that it is clean.

Think of luxury dining at the park but its affordable. Glad that they are charging in ringgit. If its in Australia, you will need to pay 5 times the price. Service and Food quality is excellent. Ambience and surrounding, serene and chill. Staff are well trained. Good menu selection and wide spread of local and international ala carte menu. Highly recommended Turkey Pasta ans Seafood Pizza.
