Drawn by its fiestas, late night discos and clubs, water parks and golf courses, visitors can't resist sunny Fuerteventura. Discover local culture in Betancuria, home to a cathedral and several museums, at Tefia's eco-museum or at one of February's quirky Carnaval celebrations. Cool down after a hot day on the beach or a hard night at the clubs at Baku Water Park.

Family of five (incl. three kids - 15, 13 & 9) really enjoyed our trip.
Suddenly the geography of Fuerteventura and all the Canary Islands came alive, with their 20 million-year history of volcanoes, erosion, microclimates, the importance of water, forging a life in hostile conditions etc. Great way to spend 4 hours.

Wow this place is truly beautiful. The sand dunes are really impressive and as it’s such a large area there is no chance of it feeling overcrowded. It’s great to walk through the dunes and along the beach front watching the kite surfers but the wind whips up here so it’s unlikely you’ll get the chance to settle here to do a bit of sunbathing. Still definitely worth a visit and no issue of finding somewhere to pull over and park your car.

Wow, what a fabulous little spot. The village has a small harbour overlooked by some cafes, tavernas on the cliff top. Fabulous views all along the coast, with amazing sandy Beaches and bays to explore. A good walk or drive along the beach road, path leads to some great bays and secluded coves. It extends along to the lighthouse, with amazing views and sandy bays to swim or relax in. Fantastic beautiful relaxing place.

Stunning, huge, beautiful beach. A fabulous Promenade for walkers, joggers, cyclists and skaters. Very clean water and golden sand. The surf can vary, sometimes suitable for Surfing or watching, other times ok for swimming and paddling, a bit rough for weak swimmers, children etc. Lots of cares along the way, toilets, showers, everything you could want to see there, even a few nudists!

You can walk for miles and hardly see a sole. Not too many facilities along the way so take water and sun screen as no shelter once you walk away from resort. Check tides before walking as you could get caught between rocky outcrops.

Beautiful beach. Golden sands. Crystal blue waters. Plenty of open spaces for those disliking rows of sunbeds. Safe swimming.

Fuerteventura means "strong wind": on this outlook, you might know why....excellent views, little museum about fauna and flora, a small restaurant, a parking, terraces...hold on to your belongings, or the strong wind may take them....Unless you are veeery tough, put on a jersey.
