This is a fabulous spot. The walk up is simple in that there are good steps. Some may find it strenuous. The views out over the archipelago are worth the climb ten times over though.

This is definitely a must if you are into scuba diving. The best of Sweden with a very nice family company who will take you out on their boats and give you a pleasant stay for a night or two. Also had a great crayfish party in the evening !!! Well worth it
To enhance the experience further, I would like to see is a better run down of the dive site. As done in the south (Egypt, Maldives etc) they have a whiteboard or map of the dive site, explains the layout and how to get around .... just some verbal guidance make it hard once you were in the water to remeber it all and find the "right" way ....

Vitlycke museum is a knowledge and experience center in Tanum World Heritage site - an area of about 600 rock art sites. Here you can experience world class rock art and explore the Bronze Age world. Join a guide or walk by yourself among the carvings and reconstructed Bronze Age buildings. At the museum you will find a cafe, shop and an exhibition that is a dramatic story for the whole family.
An outstanding small museum that balances provision of information with interactive displays to satisfy both adults and children. A great introduction to the Bronze Age in the region. Do not skip walking outside and seeing the reconstructed houses, the woods, and the animals. As others...MoreThank you very much for your fine review, we are delighted that you like the museum! Warm welcome again! /inger

On a desert island in an arqipelago of 365 small islets on the North West Coast of Sweden, you will find us, Väderöarnas Värdshus. Pilots and their familys have lived here for many hundred years, helping lost ships find their way, by keeping watch from the Pilots look out on the highest point on the biggest island Storö. In the old houses we have 16 rooms, 7 ensuite, mostly double rooms but also some family rooms. Our restaurant serves local, sometimes self catched sea food and a lot of other delicious courses made by our fantastic Chefs! You can relax in the granite sauna and our salt water hottubs just by the sea, so take a dip, the Scandinavian way! The beatiful, rocky walking path is a must! There is no natural water on the island, so we desalinate our daily use of water from the sea, we have our own power plant and solar cells for energy, we work active with sustainability! We get you safely from the Mainland to the island, 45min, in our big Catapult Catamaran boats.
We spent 10 days sailing along Western Swedish coast and Weather Islands were certainly the highlight of our trip. The Islands have similar structure as other Islands along this coast - black granite with bushy plants, but we were striked by the feeling of Wilderness because they are group of Islands further from the coast, with only few houses, and only few mooring spots for boats, and mostly by the colonies of seals we saw! The quietness and starry night and plankton lumiscence in our midnight swim were charming. Deffinetely recommended!

Stuck between two cliffs are three huge boulders! It is quite the sight to see! The entrance to the cliffs is located behind the playground in Ingrid Bergmans Torg. The stairs are steep and little, the stairs will end and you will have to make your way across boulders and loose rocks. Wear good shoes!! This is not handicap accessible. The best place to get pictures is at the very end of the "corridor" you can get all three boulders in the shot and the ravine. you can walk out and down to the residential area or you can walk back the way you came. as the end there is a set of stairs that go WAY up. This is will take you up to the very tippy top of Fjallbacka for a stunning panoramic view of the archipelago.

A 1 hour walk in beautiful Fjallbacka, where we go passed many "murder sites". The walk also give an insight into the bakground of Fjallbacka and Camilla Lackberg's books. It is no wonder she has such a rich material to work with. Fjallbacka has much more to tell and show. Come and see for yourself. Give me a call or send email, I will always try to get you a tour to suit your travel plans. Welcome to Fjallbacka Asa Cunniff
I am a huge fan of Camilla Lackberg, this is the reason I came to visit Fjallbacka. I liked the tour a lot. Asa, the guide, was very informative, spoke perfect English and gave us a lot of information about Camilla's life in Fjallbacka, about the setting of her books, but also about the history of the village and Ingrid Bergman.
I would like to mention something I'm extremely grateful for. We arrived in Fjallbacka on a Wednesday and there were no tours scheduled for that day. We went to Store Hotellet to ask for an informative leaflet or brochure of the village and we mentioned our interest in Camilla's tour. So, the receptionist called Asa and she came to give the tour for only 2 people (my friend and I). Thank you!

Rent a boat for the day to go fishing or explore the archipelago. The price is 650 kronor +amount of fuel you used. The boat measure 4.7m in lenght and 1.7m in width. No license requiered and they are easy to manouver.
Had a perfect day among the Islands of Fjallbacka. Called and booked the boat two days before and arrange meeting time and place. David showed us how the boat worked (Really easy to understand) and we told him what time we would be back. Then we left the harbour and had a beautiful day with alot of swimming and sun bathing.
When we got back David looked how much petrol we used and we payed for that.
Will deffiently be back next year!
