This is a nice amble along the rocks where they have highlighted 9 sites with rock drawings
The route is generally easy with occasional scrambling, so decent footwear required
The route out is very clear but the route back could do with some work
Good value to see some amazing history

Just hours from Cape Town, the Cedarberg Mountains are the rustic home of ancient rock paintings and rare animal species.
The beauty of this area never fails to amaze me & keeps us coming back year after year. The beautiful rock formations, the hiking trails, the swimming holes & Waterfalls are what makes the Cedarberg so special. There are many accommodation options to choose from, from camping to rustic cottages to upmarket chalets. Love this place!

This reserve really provides a great range of the flowers from Namaqualand. What I like is that numerous of the flowers have been tagged, which is of a great help. One is able to walk around at your own pace and take in this great flowers. The small restaurant provided a light lunch of babotie and cool drinks.
A great experience

The buildings for the museum are the old gaol of Clanwilliam and offer enough interest even without the contents. Each room devotes to a particular aspect of Clanwilliam history, emphasizing various notable individuals. Other rooms show aspects of life in past ages or illustrate the development of the dam. In general a very interesting insight into the history of one of the 10 oldest towns in South Africa..

One of the most beautifully rustic historical gems of the Western Cape. This cave was visited originally by Simon Van der Stel on his way to find the copper mines. Over the past 350 years hundreds of travellers have spent the night here and engraved their name inside the cave. From astronomers, botanists to ministers have all left their mark.
Pristine condition. Take water (lots and a hat) easy to medium walk that takes about ten - 15 minutes to the cave.

This unique experience of hiking through the remote and amazingly beautiful Cedarberg with donkey carts porting your luggage. You can get onto the cart and ride along at any time if you're tired of hiking.
You stay in community houses or a community lodge and the food is prepared by the local people.
Wonderful!
