Established on the current Clacton site in 1899, and run independently by the West Cliff Trust, the West Cliff is the only surviving purpose-built theatre in Clacton, and plays host to professional touring shows and many local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, dance schools, and other youth groups. Its compact auditorium with just under 600 seats, a unique atmosphere and knowledgeable and friendly staff make it Clacton's theatre of choice for artistes and audiences alike. The Stage Door Bar is open both prior to and during the interval for each show, and provides pre-booked meals for selected shows. The lounge may be hired for private functions with or without bar and catering services.

I'm lucky enough to be able to walk on Frinton beach every day, along with our two crazy dogs. At weekends hubbie comes too and if we're really lucky our teenage daughter joins us. Whatever the weather it's a beautiful clean beach filled with friendly welcoming faces, and that includes the dogs too.
Frinton now has an extensive repertoire of cafes and restaurants which, combined with the stunning beach, make this a great place to visit for a day out, throughout the year.

The beach at Walton is lovely, it is a beautiful sandy type of beach with plenty of room for lots of people to spend the day without being on top of each other.
There are dog friendly parts of the beach as well as no dog zones.
There are plenty of ice cream stands and places to get snacks and meals.
The beach is well maintained and the locals are proud of their town. It's a lovely place to visit and gives you that "back in time" kind of feel!
Would we return?
We would, We did, We moved to Walton!

Had a prosecco spa day at the weekend:
Pros - very good body massage, well-equipped gym,
Cons- way too busy especially the pools and the bar area, too much noise (wasn't very relaxing), queues at reception, place was cold in temperature, the food served at lunch was cold also

Sunday Market running for over 30 years,Every Sunday from Easter untill the end of October each year. Also on Wednesdays during school summer Holidays.
We decided to go to the Sunday Market at St Osyth yesterday, My favourite stall being the ladies clothes stall where the lovely lady sells brand named New Clothes at just £4 each, but she wasn't there. It's a shame because it's a long way for us to go for her not to be there.
There's still the usual market stalls - a great make-up stall, bedding bits, puzzle & crossword books, kids colouring bits, market clothing; bits n bobs for the house; cleaning products, kitchen roll, loo roll, mats, hoses, woks, jewellery, toiletries, pet items, sweets, kids clothing, electrical items etc. There's also a stall with garden statues and one with garden ornaments and decorations....and if Hubby wasn't with me, I would probably buy most of those!!
Unfortunately I am not able to get about without my 3-wheeled walker, which caused me absolute horrendous pain yesterday!! You are literally struggling the whole time to walk over stones - like in a car park, the wheels were constantly getting stuck, causing me to almost go over the handlebars MANY times!!!
Unfortunately I won't be able to go there ever again, but if you are able bodied, then it will be ok.

Historic 86ft landmark built in 1720. Now houses an art gallery showing Exhibitions by East Anglian artists, museum about the history of the Tower and The Naze, tea rooms serving all day and at the top a viewing platform with spectacular coastal views.
The tower offers great views from the top. There is a nice tea rooms there. The area around the tower is great. There are good walks. A nature reserve. The beach there is good fun as you can hunt for fossils.(but keep an eye on the tide as it comes in very quickly). The cliffs are eroding so you have to be careful when you go near them. There are two tea rooms and a café there. Parking is £2.00.

Constructed in 1931, the Princes Theatre is an impressive purpose built theatre, with an 820 seat auditorium. With modern retractable tiered Seating and large proscenium arched stage the flexibility of this venue is limited only by imagination. The Princes Theatre plays host to many celebrity acts.
Enjoyed the show Jimmy was still hilarious and on the money after all these years. The Theatre was very comfortable with excellent friendly and helpful Staff. Tickets reasonably priced. Would only suggest a few more behind the bar to cope with the demand to benefit the public and maximise profit for the Theatre.
