It is rare that a restaurant experience is as refined as it is at Le Baccara. The menu is varied, the cuisine is out of this world and the service is 6 stars (at least).
We were a family of ten seated at a long table on a Saturday night. We did not feeled rushed. In fact, one person in our group held up service by not closing her menu. Upon seeing her indecisiveness, a waiter offered information and details to help her make a decision.
There were a few surprises (extras offered by management). Not sure if this was because of past visits, however, it was noticed and appreciated.
The decor in the restaurant is interesting but could use some sprucing up. The noise level was a bit high. We would have been better in a closed room but the person responsible for the reservation had not asked therefore we sat in the main room.
One of the down sides is having to walk through the Casino to get the dining room. This is standard and we accept this. It was fascinating to see the people in the Casino. As we are not Casino goers, we took the opportunity to look around. We noticed that many young people go the Casino to take advantage of the live music and dance floor. It appears to be a great venue for them.
Parking is not an issue nor is wheelchair access. Everything is well thought out.
Would go again in a year or so.

Our restaurant's name reflects the quality of the meat that is served. Sterling Silver's remarkable breeding philosophy produces the highest quality of meat in Canada. Not only does Sterling Silver ensure incredible taste and tenderness, it surpasses any expectations.
Excellent quality steak, grilled over maple wood, to the perfect temperature....no frills...just good...the twice baked potato was the best I've had, and the chocolate terrine was simple and good... Service was professional and friendly... I got exactly what I hope for.... Highly recommended

Located 10 minutes from the National Capital, Ottawa. Experience our acclaimed cuisine in our welcoming new dining room or on our veranda overlooking our Gardens.
This Ottawa area mainstay has had a major facelift, with a much airier and more cosmopolitan feel. And so it is inexplicable, with all that money spent, why a place that draws an older crowd should have neglected basic wheelchair access that would allow guests to enter through the front door in a dignified manner, or even through any door at all! That is why this is being rated lower than many of the other contributions on TripAdvisor
Instead, guests in chairs must take a cement path in back that is rough and uneven, with a makeshift ramp in two places. The only type of wheelchair that is feasible is the variety handed out by hospitals. Even then, one has to struggle through with at least one staff person helping while patrons look on. Standard wheelchairs will not fit through the door at all and you can forget about motorized chairs. The washrooms I saw are completely inaccessible to people in wheel chairs. There may be others I missed.
Incredibly, when this issue was raised, the young employee who was helping said that he knew that the place was inaccessible but, never mind, lots of people want to come to the restaurant anyway. Clearly missing the point entirely.
Food was solid and good. A fish-based soup was a bit gluey and fishy, like the fish was not fresh, but the salads were excellent as were the desserts. They do the crème brûlée very nicely. Fresh bread and a good wine selection.
Pacing of service was uneven, attentive at first and then waning.
And a truly magnificent garden out back.

Family owned and operated, Chez Fatima is a place where you can discover the delicate seasonings of Moroccan cuisine. During lunch hours we serve a buffet featuring a wide variety of Moroccan salads and warm dishes. As of summer 2015, we are expanding our menu to include more Mediterranean food. This expansion includes a revamped lunch menu, buffet and the addition of Frank Bartha in the kitchen.
My wife and I attended this restaurant based on the trip advisor rating, and we were not disappointed.
We showed up a half hour before they opened, but they still seated us, with bread, olives, and drinks. The bread was incredible! Warm and sooo crispy! The mint tea was fantastic.
The service was great. The food was excellent. It is a warm and cozy restaurant. Authentic home style cooking.

This place serves a generic pizza that is very good and the price is excellent. Nothing fancy -- regular ingredients. I like a thick crust traditional combination pizza and that is what they do. They also have a fabulous chicken shawarma that is generous with the ingredients. Good basic food at a good price.

stood and waited more than 20minutes while not one server/host came by to greet us. Servers walked back and forth, made eye contact and ignored us. Couple in front of us waited even longer. Needless to say both of us left without trying this teahouse.

This is a Poser bar...want to pay $12 plus tax and tip for a Ceasar or Margarita with a short pour? Then go here. Beer? only home brewed crap at $8 a pint...bartenders useless in describing the options...want a great place at half the price go to Manchester Pub!

We came for a birthday dinner and enjoyed the table d'haute. May of the dishes were excellent but the foie gras and crab apple dish was particularly memorable. Having tried similar dishes in many other restaurants we can confidently say this one was the most...MoreBonjour Anabradi, Wow this comparison puts us in a the big league!! Well thank you very much for your kind words and we always appreciate those kind of comments. Chef Jean-Claude

Voted unanimously as the very best fish & chip and seafood restaurant in the National Capital Region.
Le Resto is a little tucked away restaurant that is worth searching out. In downtown Chelsea, it is unpretentious but offers wonderful down to earth cuisine. The battered cod is excellent but take the Thai salad or the sweet potatoes fries as an alternative to standard French fries. The beer selection is also a treat. Don't miss this stop.
