Italy's most narrow street
You'll experience some of the narrowest streets in Italy, and every street is nicely decorated with flowers. Citta della Pieve is a beautiful small town - fiats, motorcycles, flowers, narrow streets, italian flags, brick buildings, beautiful views, osterias and nice restaurants.
Defintely worth visiting if you're in this area!

Pomario we produce Organic Wine an Olive Oil in Umbria, Italy. Is a small hill very bright and isolated by thick woods that surround the property, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, 500m s.l. Respecting the environment and maintaining ecological balances have been the guidelines that led to the building of the new winery. Visits include:Tasting and tour of the Winery, Olive mill vineyard.
My wife and our three adult sons spent a very enjoyable afternoon at this gorgeous winery. Stephania walked us around the vineyard and the winery, sharing her great passion for producing organic wine & olive oil in an environmentally friendly way. We were then treated to a fabulous lunch accompanied by some delicious wines. We bought some to take away and it was interesting to note the lack of a headache after spending an evening drinking solely Pomario wines!
As with other reviewers we were made to feel very welcome and we are very grateful. Thank you!
Anyone visiting Pomario should also stop at Monteleone just a couple of miles away- walk to the end of the village centre for some stunning views!

During our recent visit to and stay in Chiusi, we were fortunate to take the recommendation of the town's excellent Tourist Information office and visit the Museo. The museum documents in a very understandable, well captioned guidance through the Etruscan civilization that had developed there more than three millenia ago. The exhibits are logically staged over the timeline of the cultural development and English translations make following the record quite easy.

Truffles - Mushrooms - Wines - Marmalades - Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Honey Visit us! Prodigious assortment of nobles wines, jams, cheese
Never would have known about this place. We were staying in Orvieto, had a car and wanted to drive around. This place is easy to find off the highway and well worth the time. The family is very nice. They showed us beautiful white truffles and offered us a tasting of different products. We bought plenty. Prices very reasonable and as usual getting from the source - the people who find it and make the products - is very rewarding and fun. Please stop here!

Sarteano is one of those lovely little Tuscan villages that's off the beaten path and not filled with American tourists. It's a lovely walk from downtown past linen and coffee shops up cobblestone streets to the top of the hill. Theres a lovely park surrounding the castle filled with cedar of Lebanon trees and more. There's a small entrance fee, but one can climb steps to the very top of the castle inside and out. The architecture is amazing and the views from the top fantastic. We took our time to enjoy the castle, grounds and town.

It is easy to dismiss this church as 'one of those' but to do so would be a mistake. The interior is a mix of old and new, like the white vaults and the colourful marbled columns of the many side altars, which are all unique and interesting. The 'ambo', with its painting of San Gervasio is rather unusual.

The two main characteristics of the Underground museum, are the spring water lake situated at 25 m below the ground level and the Etruscan epigraphic collection which is the largest in the world with more than 500 urns and tiles. You will enjoy guided tours through an interesting millennial path unchanged over the years.
Not much is about this elusive, but powerful civilization that preceded the Roman Empire, but they left behind many tombs and artifacts. The best place to see this incredible piece of history is in Chiusi. Visit the museum which is centrally located in the centro storico and then ask for the key to visit the network of tombs just outside Chiusi on the road to Lago Chiusi. If you love history, you should take the time to visit the museum and the tombs. Fascinating!
