New Proprietor and Head Chef at La Strada Nuova, Lee Scott, after a successful launch and Valentines service with rave reviews, announces 'My Mission at La Nuova La Strada is that diners' expectation will be for the usual, then be blown away, go 'wow' for my food that's without pretentiousness. Here it will be...No fuss, massive flavour and value...Me on a plate! Nice service, good food and great atmosphere.' At this popular conservatory built restaurant in White Horse Yard, opposite the museum in Towcester, like predecessor Luigi, Lee is also Italian influenced in his cooking. A Mediterranean Bistro style eatery, La Strada Nuova (Italian meaning New...New Road) as Lee has named it, is anticipated to be a popular, welcoming, flexible place for people from in and around Towcester to meet and dine. We serve the vibrant tastes of Italy from our kitchen and orangery restaurant opposite the Towcester Museum.
What always amazes me is the lack of customers frequenting this restaurant. Yes the name La Strada is unfortunately the same a that major chain, but it isn’t.
Owned and run by Pedro it offers excellent food and so children friendly, unlike some establishments. Ignore the opening times stated on here, the simple fact is Trip Advisor will not amend anything for Pedro as this account was set up by his predecessor who has not handed over the password.
I visit regularly with my daughter and daughter-in-law with the grand children, it is a perfect place for lunch or evening meal.
Please do try it, chat with Pedro who is a really friendly guy.

A friendly, comfortable Traditional Pub in the centre of Towcester high street, serving great quality locally sourced food in a beautiful and rustic environment. All dishes are cooked on site and are presented to a high standard. A wonderful atmosphere awaits eaters and drinkers alike, come along and experience a Traditional English Pub exactly the way it should be!
We have had sunday roast here previously but thought we would give the main menu a go. It was a friday night and while there were lots of tables taken and quite a few in the bar we recieved friendly service as always, Ed was very attentive and food came out quickly (but not too quick). Food was all high quality, huge thick piece of gammon steak (clearly from a local butchers), and steak and ale pie was delicious too. I highly recommended The Plough for meal out!

We visited as a group of 4 adults and one 5 year old on Saturday 10/03/2018.
We would certainly recommend booking as it would appear the Dilraj is massively popular.
We cannot fault the staff who were chatty and friendly.
There is plenty to choose from on the menu, and very good value.
The set menu for 2 is excellent value, samosa's, bhaji's, rice, naan, 2 curries, all for under £30.
We really enjoyed the meal. We will certainly beback without a shadow of doubt.
Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well

Our friendly pub and restaurant in the heart of Towcester in South Northamptonshire is open seven days a week, and is dedicated to providing our customers with great quality food and drink. When the sun is shining we have a wonderful beer garden for you to enjoy and in the winter months sit inside our cozy bar with open log fire. We serve a delicious range of home made traditional British dishes alongside a selection of starters and mains that have a Mediterranean influence. Our food is freshly prepared in our kitchen by our experienced Chefs using local suppliers and seasonal produce whenever possible.
We enjoyed a lovely meal. Portions were good and quality excellent. My wife loved the gruyere beer croquttes and the butternut quash/goats cheese burger and my rump steak and stilton salad was really tasty. Very nice evening and really friendly staff.Thank you for your review. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Went on a Saturday evening as both me and my wife went for the steak burger that comes with bacon, cheese a massive onion ring, salad and rustic chips. One of the best, tastiest burgers we have had in a while. Certainly will return when planning on going to a few dog races again that's near by at Towcester racecourse as we came from Northampton. Lovely staff too and welcoming pub.

We are an independently owned friendly village gastro pub and restaurant, just a stones throw from Silverstone. We have real ales on tap from local brewers as well as a carefully selected wine list. There is ample parking at the rear.
Lovely pub, excellent food, really friendly staff. This was a real find and we will definitely go back again next time we are in the area.

The Folly is situated in a beautiful location surrounded by rolling countryside on the A5 opposite Towcester racecourse. The original building dates back to the mid 1700's and is the quintessential thatched English inn, full of character and understated style. The Folly is a destination venue for those looking for exceptionally good and innovative cuisine. Head chef David Horak sources local ingredients where possible and uses them in imaginative dishes based on great British classics with a contemporary twist. All food is cooked to order from fresh ingredients in our own kitchens. To the rear of the building the garden offers a secluded and safe area away from the main road. An ideal space for families and those with their four legged companions! On fine days al fresco dining is available here. Easy to find, ample car parking for up to thirty vehicles and easy access makes The Folly is an ideal place to meet up and dine with friends, family and colleagues.
Three ladies who lunch: we all enjoyed a delicious, great value meal here at the end of February. Well worth a visit! Lovely, slightly spicy whitebait was the highlight for me.Hello and thank you so much for your wonderful review. Hope to see you again soon. Best wishes, Robert, David & team.

Looking for a great place to eat? Do you want to relax and enjoy the company of your friends and family in beautiful surroundings? Or simply looking for a great cup of freshly ground coffee? Then the Plantation Cafe at Bell Plantation Garden Centre is perfect for you.
I visited the café on 17th December for lunch. First time we have ever been as we would normally visit Beckworth / Bosworths Garden Centre for lunch but thought we would try somewhere different. As other reviews the Service is very poor and slow. One of the servers took one of our condiments away and said they would bring it back as we hadn't used it yet. They didn't bother I had to go and follow it up myself. When our food eventually arrived (by this time my son who is only 1 was very agitated with the wait) my husband found string in his baguette. A major choking hazard and thankfully we brought our son his own meal instead of sharing ours as this could have resulted in a very serious incident. We did flag the problem to a server who then took an age to get the manager. Another table next to us had already complained and had a meal refunded so it seems the norm when visiting Bell Plantation. The manager refunded us and my husband by this time didn't want to eat anything else due to being put off. We certainly wont be going again. If you want a nice place to eat visit Beckworth or Bosworth Garden centres as they have mastered this!

A friendly traditional village pub serving great quality local food and drink.
We were invited to join an anniversary dinner on a Sunday lunch.
They were catering for 40+ guests. We had all selected a choice of 4 starters, mains and desserts. prior to the event.
The service was excellent and the food was warm and palatable. A job well done.
The Pub itself is cosy and full of character.
We enjoyed the occasion, they did not disappoint.
