Artestruz Mallorca

Artestruz is an ostrich farm which is open to the public. The main purpose of the farm is to present you the world of the ostriches. A professional guide will not only explain you the marvels of the biggest bird in the world, but enable you to play with them and if you dare to, feed them. You can ride an ostrich (with reservation) or meet some baby birds in the season, fun for all ages! With a reservation you can also barbecue a giant egg, some meat or other delicacies. Ostriches are extremely curious and fun – so come visit them and learn about their spectacular world! Please arrive timely for the visits at: 1 October to 30 April - 11:00, 12:30, 15:30 and 17:00.

Visited the ostrich farm today with my wife and 3 children and had a fun and interesting hour. As other reviews have stated this isn't a 'tourist' attraction but a working ostrich farm run by a family who clearly love the animals. The farms wasn't busy, just a couple of other families so we had a guided tour just for us. It was one of the sons who did the tour, and he was charming and informative and clearly enjoys what he does. We saw and fed, adult and young ostrich's and we lucky enough to be able to go in with some babies. For a personalised guide tour lasting about an hour I think the €50 entrance fee is good value. They do have a shop which you visit at the end of the tour which has some lovely things but is expensive but probably far less than buying it in a high end shop where you would normally find things of this quality. One thing that would be nice is to be able to buy a drink or ice cream at the end of the tour as it's very hot in August.

Es Trenc

This large, undeveloped stretch of beach is a very popular destination - especially on the weekends.

Our hotel reception advised us to visit Es Trenc, he said it was like paradise. After negotiating the incredibly narrow road, which was scary in our hire car as there was often an inch between you and the fence on one side and cars on the other side, we ended up at a busy car park that cost 8 Euros. When we got to the beach it was so overcrowded we struggled to find a place to lay our 3 towels. Perhaps we found it so disappointing because it had been described as paradise which we took to mean beautiful and deserted. Puerto Pollensa beach and scenery is far superior.

Playa de Sa Rapita

Reviewed By Jacopo979 - Milan, Italy

this is a nice beach during the morning, less nice during the afternoon when everyday the wind comes out and spreads sand all over. on the back of the beach there are numerous and very cool sandy trails where people can go running or ride quads/cross bikes.

Salinas d'Es Trenc

Recommended, also for families with kids. The place is fascinating, giving a chance to explore the harvesting of salt and the various types existing. Better on a cloudy day as there is no shade...Dear Alice, Thank you very much for your opinion and your recommendations. We are pleased to know you enjoyed your visit with us. All the best

Sa Canova Beach

No five star resorts, just sand, sea and surf: this lovely white sand beach has remained untouched by developers.

Reviewed By Welshtyke01 - Blackwood, Gwent

We parked the car for free in Colonia de Sa Pere and took the marked footpath through the dunes. The breeze was very welcoming as we walked through unspoilt coastline. There is some development going on but the coastline is not being developed. We walked 6km in all stopping off to swim at a deserted beach Cala Toño and then again at Sa Canova. Be aware that it is a nudist beach and not for everyone. There are no facilities of any sort so take water with you. A free day out!

S'escapada

Reviewed By Jill B - Leeds, United Kingdom

We were provided with 2 very good quality rental bikes and they were very happy to make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. Also helped out our friends who had taken their own bikes but were unsure if they had put them back together properly. They hadn't, but S'escapada sorted them out with a smile. Would definitely rent from here again.
