There is a good amount of parking, but it can get busy. For those who like geocaching, there are 3 easy to get points on the walk. The signs say to keep children close as it is dangerous, but there are good fences later in the walk. Make sure you keep looking down to the water's edge as we watched sea lions playing in the water and basking in the rocks.

Very helpful lady who gave us maps and also some valuable suggestions for our trip to the Catlins. Also helped with accommodation

Balclutha is known for the Clutha river which runs through the middle. The river is reasonably spectacular to view especially when in full flood. There is carparking next to the old arch bridge where the traveler can sit anytime of day to watch the world go by, eat your meal or just to hang out or try and catch some fish.

Dollyworld is a place where all your childhood memories come back to you that were so dear. The children enjoy playing with the crazy monkey and other battery operated toys as well as digging for buried treasure and seeing the childrens faces when they open up there surprise lucky dip that there family had bought for them. We also have a doll hospital now where we gives dolls a makeover and make them look brand new again for the children for a donation. In general Dollyworld makes people smile, and I enjoy making friends, and folk can also look at the handmade jewerllery that we sell and take their time, and they relax and stay for a while.
I have visited three times taking family members. The toys and dolls are well displayed. You can play with selected items. There are collections to interest all ages and genders. Lovely people.

There is a 45 minute return walk up to Jack's Blowhole. The formation itself is rather incredible and unique but if you only have three weeks two explore both Islands (like we did on this trip), this 45 minutes could probably have been spent better elsewhere.
