Went diving with Antidote as a total beginner for a Baptême. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional. Joëlle was the perfect instructor for beginners and during our dive pointed out lots of beautiful fish I would have missed otherwise! She also speaks English for visitors who don't speak French. The only suggestion I would make is to ask the team to take more photos during the dive because I was expecting more than one. Wonderful experience, I would definitely go back!

OMG….wow!!! This is definitely one of our best memories in Guadeloupe. You get to cycle (velib de mer) on the ocean through mangrove. The guide knows everything about all local animals and the mangrove forest and he will happily share his knowledge with you. He will make an open-fire BBQ at the beach at lunch time with Ti Punch, Planteur and Fruit Juices as Apero. The meal was amazing!! You start around 8:30am and will be back by 6pm. I thought I would get bored at some point but not at all. What a beautiful experience: amazing nature views, cycling through a mangrove forest, bird-watching at sunset, BBQ at the beach, sun, warm water, nice people and smiles….and the friendliest, funniest guide ever!!

The views here are spectacular and almost surreal. We only had time for the drive up through northern Grande-Terre and past Porte d'Enfer to the Pointe, but if we return we will certainly attempt some of the hikes in this wild and starkly beautiful area. The wind seems to blow incessantly here, bending the trees along the cliffs into tortuous shapes. Waves crash against the cliffs and whip up the water into violent white eddies and maelstroms of sand. The views alone are spectacular, but the hikes must be even more divine, running along steep hills and promising an escape to the raw forces of nature, the wind and the sea. The area is desolate but, as with most attractions, there are typically vendors near the parking area selling coconut sorbet, cakes, and other delicious, local treats. Highly recommended, even if only as part of a driving tour around Grande-Terre.

Enjoyed a few hours at the beach on our way from Grand Terre to Basse Terre. The beach is simply gorgeous. this is probably not a good beach for families with young children since the surf is high and there is a significant undertow. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time at this beach. There were quite a few people taking advantage of the waves and Surfing. There are some shady areas along the beach . The beach also has bathroom facilities. Although there are no restaurants at the beach, there are a few food trucks that sell sandwiches and salads.

On their canoes, Ti-Evasion offers to make you discover the largest lagoon in the Lesser-Antilles, accompanied by a naturalist and state-qualified guide. His commentaries will allow you to become acquainted with the rich specificities of the lagoon !The mangrove swamp habitat, home to many birds and fish, the coralislets and their uncrowded Beaches, will offer you some of the precious moments of this memorable trip.
Excellent outing, a good way to escape busy Guadeloupe and see something completely different, perfect for kids as well, even better if you know French. Plants, weird animals, you will get to hold a sea cucumber that attacks you with a water jet... Beware that the kayaks are open so you will need a lot of sun cream or even better long sun pants to protect you from the rays.

Our last stop on a tour of Guadeloupe, would be in the town of Morne-a-l’Eau. As we approached our destination, everyone was amazed to see a cemetery in the shape of an Amphitheater with black and white checkered graves. Now this was an unusual cemetery to say the least. We spent about 15 minutes looking around and taking in this unique place. It is one of those places where you just can’t take enough photos to capture the whole place. At times like this, I wish I had a drone to mount a camera on to be able to capture it all.

Well worth the drive. Park in the public parking area next to Cocos restaurant. If you're on a budget, take your own food. Cocos is not cheap. There's well protected small beach and a path leading south along magnificent cliffs. The views over the turquoise seas are amazing. About a hundred yards from the parking lot is a picnic area with some barbeque sites. Don't expect to buy supplies there, there's only Cocos restaurant. We ate there , sitting at plastic chairs under the trees. Foods acceptable and wait staff are friendly. Prices are typical for the island's i.e. Expensive for Americans. See the photos for an idea of the natural beauty of the area. The path leads south along the cliff for miles, it's rugged but not difficult , take sturdy shoes if you're going far.

I was not even dreaming of this :
- You give a call the day before to have a dive with Gwadive : 'no problem, come tomorrow morning at 9am'.
- The D-day, you come at 9am : a smily guy receives you and explains that you're the only guest that morning!! Normal as he had forgotten, but it's his Birthday today, so he wanted to stay quiet :-) ! No problem for him, it will be his birthday gift to have a dive with just the two of us!
- Then you discuss with Olivier (the 'guy' I was mentionning) & spend a very nice moment chatting with him..., just the time to arrive on the diving spot : today, 2 in 1 ! 'The Barracuda Caves' & the 'Arches'
- End of the Dive, you're back on the boat, your mouth is looking like a banana as you're not stopping to smile... The Dive was amazing, plenty of Fauna, very nice caves & arches, and all of that in a very clear & warm water (27°c)!!!
- We finished our discussion on the boat & then around a beer...
This was just amazing!!!! Thank you Olivier!

The 2 hours introduction to SUP and to the mangrove with Matthew was great!
After a short lesson on how to manage your Stand Up Paddle, Matthew will take you through a tour on the mangrove - beautiful scenery with expert explanations on the mangrove and it's environmental role!
Highly recommended!
