A lovely little restaurant which looks so small from the outside but once you walk in are draped veils and fans keeping some much needed air flow with an excellent view of the ocean.
The staff are a delight, the chef even coming out and greeting us after we had our main course. We had grilled fish of the day and chicken columbo (local dish) which were both excellent with rice, salad, fruit, garnish- it really was everything you could ask for. With ti-punch in an assortment of flavours and a glass of wine coming in at €2 you could happily spend an afternoon here.

The food is good, pictures attached. The problem are the services. Birds and flyes were everywhere, this was really bad, at some moment i had a dead fly in my glass with juice. When we arrived the waitress did not know if the restaurant is open or not, he asked the owner (which i really think was in the kitchen cooking). The
waitress was young and had clean white shirt (this is a plus). Thge food was ok and fast, but i would not come back, check if there are other restaurants innthe city, you can pay the same for a better experience.

When we arrived at Le Poisson d`'Or. lunch time was over, but Mme Esther, the proprietor and chef, still served us the most wonderful accras de morue. This light and fluffy pastry of dried an salted cod was nowhere better than at the rustic seaside restaurant in the quaint little town Port Louis. Mme Esther also prepared for us a refreshing and skilfully mixed fruit cocktail. After an animated chat with her we were restored and happily continued our trip to the North of Grande Terre.

Merci

The restaurant is very small, informal and cozy, and well worth the visit. We had full dinner - appetizer, fish (dorado) with vegetables and dessert, and everything was perfect. We were the only customers that night, and had a nice chat with Christophe, the chef, so the whole experience was more like visiting friends than eating out.

A short walk from the beach. We got there well after 2 and there was only a table of locals savoring a meal. We were welcomed and had an excellent lunch, particularly the fish of the day, which was excellent. Pretty setting. Very reasonable prices.

The location is just wonderful, but the girl owning or just working in the restaurant she need to take a politeness courses. Yes/no we do not speak good French, but while we was trying she went on to creole.... #%^£
Even if she didn't have wifi we was enjoying some good cold beer while we did have a good view! This was probably the only good thing for us since we didn't have any food at this place...
