Went back again to the Napoli after some months of absence in Guadeloupe and did enjoy the same great experience. Friendly and professional staffs, excellent ‘cuisine’ reasonably priced. Like always a great experience ! One of my favorite place in this island.

Dani has run this restaurant for over 15 years now. She was a showgirl in Las Vegas and speaks fluent English. She serves brilliant French Caribbean specialities including ouassous (huge fresh water prawns) lambi (conch) Colombo (curry .. chicken, goat, beef) as well as escalopes, steaks, beef and lamb brochettes. Popular with locals and very friendly
We were really impressed by the food, atmosphere and service at Aux Artistes. The restaurant was quiet when we visited, but we were treated like old friends by Dani, the delightful chef/patron who also served us. We love French cuisine and we weren't disappointed (the crayfish in star anise sauce was particularly delicious) - this is somewhere to come for a casual, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with great food, rather than the overly stuffy and formal feel that French restaurants sometimes have. It was also excellent value (including the wine) - two of us ate three courses and shared a bottle of wine for less than 80 Euro. Highly recommended!

Le plaisancier was the best restaurant we found in Guadeloupe. We found it randomly and decided to give it a try after we noticed it was packed for lunch by locals. And we were not disappointed, food was perfect: delicious carpaccio of smoked Merlin, tuna steak with green pepper sauce and fabulous flan coco. Great service too.

AU bord du lagon, face aux ilets de Pointe a Pitre. Une Grande Terrasse au calme.
This is a very good restaurant right on the waterfront in Point-a-Pitre with an exceelent view. We were there for lunch. Food and service were great, and prices were reasonable. Local and European specialties. Informal. It was uncrowded at lunch, but I'd suggest Reservations for weekend evenings.

Thanks to TripAdvisor we this place. It's been tough finding vegetarian options in Guadalupe. Our French is virtually non existent so it was difficult to understand the menu. We were recommended a meal- thanks to Google translate. It would have been good to have had...MoreWe thank you for this beautiful comment. We shall try to set up a translation of menu for the next tourists English speaker.

From sorbet to ice cream, the quality stay the same. Perfect consistency, great flavors, very friendly. Make sure you come as soon as you land so you'll have time to come back. True gem.

Since 2011, the Pinkberries has become an institution in Guadeloupe.
The lemon crepe with Chantilly was delicious and the best I had had outside of France. Not too expensive and a good portion served.
However, the cafe's decor itself is quite cheap - plastic chairs and wonky tables and the toilets were disgusting. One toilet for men and women and it was in an appalling state - like it hadn't been cleaned in days. If an inspector had been round it would not have passed for hygiene purposes, in that respect.

African cuisine-- what fun! The outgoing proprietress welcomed us in, treated us very nicely. But we were not that impressed with the food. The crocodile curry sounds like an adventure, but was notable only for the extreme toughness of the meat. a fish dish was better. With the wide selection of restaurants at Bas du Fort we didn't go to this one a 2nd time.

Pleasant interior but the food is average. We had hummus, chicken dumplings and chicken skewers. Enough for a lunch for 2. Wifi is a plus. Note: the place is here Dropped Pin near Rue Jean Jaurès, Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe http://goo.gl/maps/d3V5b

Bistrot Zen was a great surprise to find amid a number of dining options on the Marina, and by far, my favorite dining experience on a week long trip to Guadeloupe. The service was wonderful and the food matched that in options, presentation, and taste. The salmon plate was amazing, with a creative approach to sides that really made the salmon sing. Dessert was as good as dinner, having chosen the chocolate tart, with an ice cream accompaniment that balanced the tart perfectly. I would be happy to return if my travels allow.
