Only 3km from the CBD, Albert Park is popular for a range of activities like dog walking, jogging, cycling, sailing and rowing. Apart from the lake itself, other attractions include ovals, Playgrounds, restaurants and a 5km walking and running track. Sporting facilities include a golf driving range, gymnasium and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). Enjoy a barbecue or picnic with the family. Hire a boat and explore the lake. Walk, cycle or jog around the track, past green lawns and playing fields. Catching the tram is a great way to get to Albert Park. All trams that travel along St Kilda Road stop within easy walking distance of the park and the 96, 12 and 112 trams run past the park from the Melbourne CBD to St Kilda. Limited parking is available for park users within Albert Park (parking fees apply).
This is a beautiful lake and lovely to walk around. Plenty of Seating available to stop and take in the views. From the bottom of the lakes you get a great view of the Melbourne skyline with its buildings towerin over everywhere. Pathways wide so easily accommodate walkers and runners. What a beautiful place to exercise for runners! We walked from Melbourne, quite an easy route and then continued on to St Kilda before returning via the park again. They were already setting up for the Grand Prix. Quite interesting to watch them . Wish we had been in Melbourne to see it.

Long before you arrive, the distant sound of engines screaming will entice you into this iconic Australian event. Be prepared for lots of noise, action, and Australian’s being, well, Australian! This weekend in March brings all of the excitement you would expect when you mix Aussies, fast cars, and abundantly flowing beer. Opt for a luxury VIP experience, or hit the grandstands for a truly authentic experience. While you are there, take the energy of the day into the night and hit up one of the after-parties to enjoy the unique flavor that Melbourne has to offer.
Visited on Friday 23rd February. We were showing visitors from overseas around and where the racing was held each year. They have started to prepare the stands and pit lanes for the racing later in March. Our visitors were thrilled that they got to see this and we were able to drive part of the course as well.

This is a fantastic sports and aquatic centre. It caters for people if all ages and has casual and seasonal memberships.
There are a variety of swimming pools, spa, sauna, table tennis, basket ball and squash courts. There are yoga, Pilates and other classes everyday.
The staff are friendly and there is a very positive vibe about the place. It has been undergoing upgrades in all areas and is a wonderful place to visit.
You can access via trams 12 or 96 and there are bike paths from around Melbourne that you can follow to get there. Lots of parking as well.

Old style Georgian garden.Stepping into this garden is like using a time machine. Raised Gardens beds and wrought iron street lamps makes you feel like your in my fair lady. This venue is rightly very popular for wedding photos. The highlight for me is seeing all the old Terrace houses surrounding this lovely garden.

Gasworks Arts Park is used by many people. Dog walkers, market patrons and anyone who likes art and a walk. Art works are located around the park. Priscilla Jones is the cafe located on the outskirts of the park. My last visit here was disappointing with my blueberry muffin having half a blueberry in it and sugar content so high it was awful. There is a regular market once a month called the Farmers market and dog training also.

Albert and Victoria is an emerging Melbourne fashion label offering limited edition and one off clothing and accessory products, handmade both locally and abroad. The label's aesthetic pushes boundaries and challenges the stereotypical Melbourne uniform of black and dreary, instead clashing colour, texture and hand finished details with a classic rock edge and silhouette.
What a glorious shopping destination for the 'stylish eclectic', 'vibrant femme' or 'playful queen' within. Albert & Victoria greets its visitors with the open arms of an ex rock goddess, a fishbone fern and a boisterous tabby cat. Owner and creative force in residence, Melissa;...MoreThank you so much for your glowing response. The boisterous tabby and myself eagerly look forward to seeing you again.

This is a fantastic Athletic Stadium which has been revamped. It is the home of Victoria Athletics. It has an IAAF approved synthetic track. 8 lanes for running and 10 lanes for the straight sprint section of the track. There are covered stands as well as uncovered stands. I visited this stadium in the evening for a Nitro Athletics event when Usain Bolt and International Athletic competitors were competing. The event was well organised with plenty of entertainment between each race. The Employers kept the crowd seated so that all could view the events. Food and drink was available.
