Bridport is a market town in Dorset, England, situated approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) inland from the English Channel near the confluence of the small River Brit and its tributary the Asker. Its origins are Saxon and it has a long history as a rope-making centre, though many of its buildings date from the 18th century.

We are an al fresco café serving breakfast 10.00 - 11.30 am, our main menu until 4.00pm and homemade cakes and cream teas all day. We are licensed and sell local ales and ciders.
Really annoyed that directions from Thorncombe Beacon began well then became really poor, we walked probably almost to the farm then the directions were really faint on a chalk board & we got totally lost. Please check your signage from the Coastal path. Waste of our time. And we ended up walking through farmland rather than along the coast. Cross.

We always let the food, service and our reputation speak for us .....going on 23 years and still here ...must be doing something right !!
We went for dinner at Seagulls in September. My wife is still talking about our meal, it was excellent. We both had grilled hake fillet with a crust of Cheddar cheese and a cheese sauce accompanied by boiled potatoes and vegetables. It was accompanied by a very palatable Rose wine. We skipped dessert because we were quite full and had an Irish Coffee instead. The very pleasant waitress promised that it would be as it should be. We have often been disappointed with Irish Coffees in some establishment, they just do not seem to get it right. However these coffees were perfect, with just the right amount of cream floating on top and not too much Jamiesons. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff friendly, all in all a very nice experience.

A friendly restaurant serving Mediterranean food using local seasonal produce, cooked in our open kitchen! Our dishes are prepared to order so we are able to accommodate gluten-free and other dietary preferences.
On holiday near Bridport, tried the olive tree based on previous reviews.
Not disappointed.
Starters of pate and prawns delicious, especially the sauce the prawns were in.
Mains of hake and the seafood spectacular were very tasty.
Amazing amount of fish and mussels etc In ‘the spectacular’ all cooked well and my husband states ‘it is the best seafood dish ‘ he has had!!
Oh.....and pudding of slated caramel cheesecake was divine.
Well done, definitely worth a visit.

Always come here when on holiday in Dorset.Lovely old Palmers pub with great staff,Sharon and Tracy were on last night.Cheerful and chatty and well knowledged of the extensive menu and the beverages(beer, wine, spirits etc).As i have said there is an extensive menu that you can have in the bar or in the restaurant. At least 10 starters and the same for main courses, catering for meat eaters, fish and vegetarians. The food is all prepared fresh especially the pot bread. We had the crab mayonnaiise to start followed by the fllets(2) of sea bass and then the dorset apple cake.It was all beautifully cooked and presented.Nice to talk to the staff about any changes since our last visit.Lots of people in the bar but that can get noisy as it is a very popular place,They have accomodation and i think limited disabled access.Clean toilets and a large car park. Also a childrens play area and outdoor Seating. We will return again next week.

Terrific menu on a Sunday offering range of fish dishes and roasts. The quality of the beef was excellent, well cooked, tender and served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding plus a range of great vegetables. Good range of starters available, the Arancini was particularly good, Efficient staff and good beers, nothing not to like here.

Jaap and Hannah Schep are looking forward to welcoming you to the recently refurbished Three Horseshoes; a stunning 300 year old thatched Pub & Kitchen in the idyllic village of Burton Bradstock. Our menu promises great British pub food, using local, seasonal produce. We make everything in house where possible and where it is not possible we support the best local suppliers and producers. We are a Pub & Kitchen with family values at the heart of everything we do. We have three young children and we are pleased to say the Three Horseshoes is somewhere we would be happy to spend our own free time – with or without the kids. Friendly staff providing a warm welcome, excellent beers and wines which have been carefully selected and our traditional pub atmosphere ensure we are worth a visit.
