Not perfect but still wonderful!
We had a very nice evening at this gourmet restaurant.
The service was nice, the lady tried real hard to explain things in english and to make our dinner as perfect as possible.
I love the ambiance. And I adore the dessert. Ok, Im pretty impressed for the things we got and the money we spent on it.
The location isnt as center as I expected but still acceptable as its still withing walking distance from the towncenter.

Excellent interesting menu with fresh ingredients. Wine matching is also offered. Enjoy the amuse bouche in the rear court by the setting sun. Not a large restaurant so best to book in advance. I particularly liked the rubarb dessert. Great to celebrate a special occasion.

I never tasted a pancake with Gyros. Along with this pancake came a small salade and Tzasiki. Service was good and swift, we where able to sit on the deck (close to the road). Pancake was lovely, the amount of Gyros more then enough.

Stopped here while in this very quaint little town on a walking tour of our Viking River Cruise. One of the cleanest and nicest towns we visited during our stay in Holland.
Stopped for coffee and a snack. The waitress suggested their Award Winning Apple Pie, and she hit a home run !
Sat out side , the best Apple Pie I ever eaten !
If we ever get back, we will also try their main meals and their hotel, sounds and looks great.
Great town to walk and visit the shops and water front .

De Werf, the runner-up winner of the Misset Horeca Terrace Top 100 in the Netherlands. You can enjoy afforable luxury (with local & pure products) during lunch & diner with the best view of the harbor and the authentic city of Veere.
Werf is a recently refurbished restaurant, which reopened in May 2015. The in-house architecture is beautiful and the view from the restaurant to the pitoresque town of Veere is nice.
The food is 'okey', but the service is poor. The service we experienced was very 'amicale' to such an extent that it became funny. This is realy not what you expect in a decor such as Werf. It has realy negatively influenced the overall rating.

Set in a beautiful little square in the lovely little town of Veere is an amazing cafe/restaurant called Suster Anna. From the outside it's a lovely old Dutch town house but on the inside it's an amazing modern, contemporary restaurant with some astounding architectural features. Big open dining area, mezzanine balconies, conservatory and a quiet, colourful garden; take your pick of where you want to eat.
The menu is actually surprising with it's choice as at first glimpse it appears to be pancakes and more pancakes but a read through reveals some fantastic dishes.
The smoked salmon and samphire omelette was unbelievably tasty and the pasta dishes looked very generous and there were certainly no complaints about the pancakes from our table.
Admittedly the drinks are not the biggest and we did end up ordering a few rounds as it was such a hot day but this is the only fault we could find. Price was good as was the service with the staff being friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a little something special and different for lunch.

Atmospheric restaurant, pleasant staff and hearty food. I enjoyed the sole wrapped in thin bacon even though it was a bit overcooked and a very large portion. My wife liked the pork steak; once again, the portion was pretty large.
They also offer Seating in a pleasant all-weather terrace; a pleasant place to sit during our windy evening.

Went here for a full three course meal. Did not have much expectations from a café place like this but we were pleasantly surprised! The waitress was very helpful and certainly knew her job well. The cook came into the dinner place to talk to the guests and asked if everything was good. The food itself was also very good. We had shrimps and forel-fillet-paté as a starter with bread and butter. Main was a meat-stick and really tasty Wild Salmon. Came with French fries and salad. The dessert was a belgian (hot) waffle with cherries, whipped cream and vanilla icecream.
They, because it is a café, serve very good beers and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Would defiantly recommend the place. Can't really go wrong here!

Good restaurant, value for money, and the most amazing desserts!
I asked for my steak to be underdone (bleu-chaud) but it turned out medium rare. My husband's mussels though were of a high standard. The desserts - quality and presentation - were fabulous and worthy of a much more expensive restaurant. Service was on the slow side but very friendly. The back of the restaurant leads to a glass enclosure where you can also dine: much nicer to be sitting during summer evenings though the restaurant itself is very romantic for winter evenings.
