This restaurant has the best location possible. Right on the beach and sitting outside in perfect weather cannot be beaten. The menu is not very extensive, but everything is freshly prepared. Ask the waiter for recommendations and she was quick the recommend food as well as the best craft beer. We even went back for a second visit during our 3 day stay in Paternoster. The restaurant has an all day 'buzz' that is difficult to find at the other places in town!

Wonderful service and delicious food! This restaurant’s location is hard to beat, right on the beach with magnificent views. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here - calamari, mussels and masala prawns - all cooked to perfection. And the homemade potbrood was heaven! Not to be missed when visiting Paternoster. Highly recommend.

A friendly family restaurant serving delicious pizzas, burgers and seafood at reasonable prices. View to die for!
Not expensive but still poor. Very greasy calamari with a tinned feta and olive salad and a pizza with no tomato base, processed cheese and pineapple/ham from tin.
Lovely spot with a lovely view but wouldn’t go back.

Mussels freshly havested from the bay and served in a variety of sauces or freshly steamed in shell and served with crispy chips. Snoek served with soetpatat, hake deep fried or grilled, kingklip.Meat and chicken dishes. Pastas, salads. Desserts. Our "BillHenry" bar is fully licensed. Open 7 days a week. Kitchen closes 16H00. Open evenings for functions, group bookings.( By prior arrangement ) We extend our hours over weekends and high holidays.
Such a pity ... lovely views, great rustic vibe and friendly staff. We arrived here at 13:20 - finally got food at 15:00 which was then to oily and greasy (possibly due to oil not being hot enough) and calamari slightly undercooked in the haste of getting food through to us.
Staff was frazzled due to it being busy, and oil all of the sudden needed to be changed after our waitress told us that our food was being served? In actual fact, that was probably the right thing to do, but in the middle of lunch service?
While we were there, a few tables walked out being disgusted with the wait and the lack of honest communication and although apologies were made, the staff could have offered a free drink or coffee to make up for the kitchen’s slack.
Such a pity ... great potential, but not sure if I would like to take the chance of taking visitors there and waiting for my food for 1:40 ....

Chef Kobus van der Merwe may still be involved in the menu, but his focus is now on Wolfgat, a restaurant in the same town. Oep ve Koep's restaurant feels rather lost now, with empty tables, a neglected garden, hesitant service, and a menu that fails to excite. The quality of the individual dishes remains good.

This is a super little Pub Restaurant, off the street but well worth the visit. The staff is very friendly and so helpful, the food was superb. Best burger I have had in a very long time. The view is beautiful there is a playground for the kids and all in all a great place to go to for lunch.

Arrived upon this place as part hiking trail arranged by West Coast Biospheres. Very friendly staff made us welcome and we enjoyed their beefy hamburgers and some had the fish. Lovely setting in a verandah overlooking the bay. Plenty of birdlife and some brave souls swimming in the chilly sea. Must be great at night.

Wonderful meal with real great ambiance. We loved the simple yet complete menu. Prices are fair and portions sufficient. Some great specials during the week attracting many customers. There were too few waiters though and some requests took much too long to execute. All other factors overshadowed the service.
