The food and service at this restaurant are of the highest quality, and represent good value for money too. Between five of us, we must have selected around twenty dishes, and without exception all were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff, and the seafood served up was exquisite. We noted that on the way to find this eatery we passed several empty restaurants and, upon arriving here, the contrast was noticeable, with a bustling and busy atmosphere in the room, and a large number of locals dining.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we did not suffer any stomach ailments after visiting this restaurant. One bad meal can ruin a holiday, so it is important to note that the hygiene of this restaurant proved itself to be first class.

It's one of the best Brazilian steak houses I've visited in my life and it's right at Villahermosa.
Service is excellent and room decor and ambience is so charming you don't want to leave the place.
They have a great salad and complements bar and whatever steak you try is just delicious, juicy and prime quality.
It's also located in a very popular area close to a beautiful natural area called La Choca. Definitely a must...

We arrived an early Thursday evening and were surprised that they were about to close already. We had free buffet and some tacos which were prepared à la minute at our table side. Food was typical Mexican and service was friendly and efficient. Not really a gourmet restaurant but correct dishes and savory tastes. Only recommendable during daytimes.

It's a very impressing and even quite luxurious place in Villahermosa
But the management has lost control and personnel is not trained to serve properly and advice guest during their visit to this elegant restaurant
Music is not properly program and some times they start playing laud songs that are not suitable
And waiters are not trained about wine
Finally out Fillet was just a piece of meat not tender and completely tasteless
Our meal took a long time and it all came out at same time so we had first and second plate and side orders all at the same time about an hour after sitting down
I believe the wanted us to keep ordering drinks because there were no other guest ordering. At that time
Air conditioning was not running at the area where we were seat but at mid meal they wanted to move us to a cooler area out side temp was near 100F
I think such a great place should be run by a professional and experienced team

we came after 8 p.m restaurant was closed, so we enjoyed the bar and tapas outside, it was very crowded, very noisy outside , but the atmosphere was great, the seafood plates we ordered were great, the service perfect, friendly and efficient, fantastic experience, and now we will have to come again earlier to enjoy the restaurant too, although it was an unforgettable evening.

Do not miss. Everything on the menu is great, we had a large group so were able to try 5-6 of the appetizers and main courses. Presentation is very good, very creative combination of local flavors/ingredients with all of the dishes. We were there for two days and had dinner there twice.

Our specialty is the cuisine of southern Mexico, especially the dishes of Tabasco.
Food was ok, nothing special, don't waste time probably can find a better restaurant in town. Had a chipilin soup, honestly didn't liked it, the flavour was plain, merged with cream just to give a little sweetened flavor and a desperate touch of corn. Also got a salted meat, needed to put a little bit more salt, tortillas weren't hand made and the guayaba flavored water wasn't a hit.

If you're looking for something different in Villahermosa, this is for you, god environment, (quite 80's), good food, mainly tacos, fish, octopus, shrimp. Also they have food for not food sea lovers. Its good in overall, nothing spectacular, but still recommendable. Just a little bit expensive just for tacos.

The place is a bit far away for Villahermosa and is also located in a “not so great” neighborhood but the food is worth the drive and location. Everything has a beautiful presentation and tastes amazing. We tried octopus, tuna, the “tortilla gratinada” and some artisanal beer and loved everything. I really recommend you take the short trip to try this joint.

As a fan of great food, I look for the best restaurants in each city. Prior to arriving in Villahermosa, I selected Tierra Criolla and was very happy with my choice.
The restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant is located in the “City Center” development in Villahermosa – which is a neat and vibrant development. The restaurant itself was beautiful with inside and outside Seating. We chose to dine in the inside portion of the restaurant and found the décor to be beautiful, classy, and understated.
The drink menu was inventive and had a local twist as well. I chose a Hendricks Gin cocktail which was one of the best cocktails I have ever tried. Great job!
The food was excellent – inventive, delicious, and beautifully presented. I would return for the tuna starter alone.
Roberto provided excellent service during our dinner – professional, friendly, and efficient. Roberto spoke perfect English and was able to provide great recommendations regarding drinks, wine, and food.
As an added bonus, Tierra Criolla is on OpenTable which adds to the ease of making a reservation.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
