Lush and luxuriant, the exotic tropical island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis is a romantic paradise. St. Kitts' wonderful beaches remain relatively crowd-free, and nature lovers delight in seeing lava formations, tropical forest and lagoons and underwater marvels while snorkeling or diving. Among more than 200 historical sites, former plantation homes now offer elegant accommodation. Eco-rambles, bio-tours and climbing are Nevis attractions. Rent cars or mopeds on-island and catch ferries between the two.

Phillip was wonderful. The plantation was lovely, but the time Philip spent with us was amazing. Our driver was great. He took the extra time to show us more of the island. This tour was the highlight of our cruise. Thank you for wonderful memory’s!

The 'Gibraltar of the West Indies', this massive fortress on a limestone hilltop rises nearly 800 feet above sea level.
To anyone interested in history or anyone interested in a very cool spot and view Brimstone is a spot to see. The fort is in very good shape with many interesting faucets. A climb up a steep hill is well worth the effort. It is easy to put yourself back in time and visualize what it might have been like to walk the walls or keep watch over the ocean vista. Loved the visit!

Greg was born and brought up on St. Kitts and Nevis and following his return home from College in Nova Scotia Canada in 1980, started working at his Parents hotel, the Ocean Terrace Inn, with one of his jobs being to do tours for the hotels guests. While growing up on St. Kitts, Greg's parents became leaders in the local Tourism Industry, starting one of the first hotels in the Islands, with Greg's Dad, eventually receiving the "Order of the British Empire" (OBE), from the St. Kitts Government for his outstanding achievements in local Industry. This has given Greg a unique grounding as well as a deep sense of understanding for his home country and coupled with his tourism training abroad, has allowed him to become one of leading and longest serving tour guides in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Greg and his team of certified Tour Guides have won many awards from the Tourism Authority for their businesses high standards of service. From the very beginning Greg has used modified, 4X4 Land Rovers to do his "unique" island Safaris with. Being specially made, the 8 Land Rovers he uses today, are all open sided with mostly forward facing, stadium orientated Seating, that provide his guests with the best way to experience exploring beyond the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis. Greg's Safaris is the only tour company in the Federation that uses 4X4 Land Rovers for touring on both Islands! For your private, half days hiking pleasure, Greg has created two "unique looped hiking trails", one at the Phillips Mountain Valley (2 miles long), and at the other at the Wingfield River Valley (2 1/2 miles long), on St. Kitts. His company is also the only one on St. Kitts to offer driving tours from coast to coast through the lushly forested interior and while traveling through the Mountains his guests would have access to a private 5 acre "mountain top property", perched1000 feet sea level, a place of cool temperatures and breathtaking views, that can only be experienced on a "one of kind" 4X4 Safari Tour with him and his guides. Greg is one of the founding members of the St. Christopher National Trust and as well, sits on the Central Forest Reserve National Park Committee. He is also a Life Member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Brimstone Hill National Park and is also part owner of Sky Safaris, a company he started in 2009.
Joseph was our guide and he was fantastic. Very interesting trip, we went on the excursion that was not the usual route taken by other tours. As a matter of fact we did not see another tour company for the whole trip which lasted about 4 hours. Joseph stopped many times to point things out along the way. Every one loved the excursion. THANKS!

Took this excursion through royal Caribbean cruise line and was the worst excursion I have ever been on. First off the guides were terrible (the girl and older gentlemen were fairly good), they didn't talk to us and never gave any info on the mountain like typical guides do. Second there was not nearly enough breaks given, you would walk for about an hour straight uphill without stopping. The "lunch" they had was cornbread and juice. The terrain was dangerous, so many rocks you had to climb up, watched a lady almost fall to her death (not fun) The most disappointing part was the top, you expect to see this grand volcano with an open landing but nope, there's a 2x2 area where you have to take turns standing in to see the view. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Fairview Great House and Botanical Garden is an attraction like no other here in beautiful St. Kitts. Nestled at the foot of Olivees Mountain, is the island's newest and most unique attraction!!!
A late 17th century plantation house with much French influence, preserved as a museum with period furniture, utensils, etc and helpful staff who describe the history of the house [including British Royal visitors]. Views over the sea [a short distance down hill] are beautiful and very Caribbean blue [at least on the day of our visit!]. The property is just above the tsunami escape line and to its rear are impressive botanical Gardens with the lush Caribbean plants and trees. But it can be very hot so wear the sun cream and the hats!

A clean and friendly beach where a variety of sea life, including squid and sea urchin, reside.
This was our 3rd time to St. Kitts on a cruise. We had previously enjoyed the Shipwreck bar and Grey's tour (which dropped us off here for a bit). We were the first at Carambola from the cruise ship and walked down the beach to see if that was going to be the best place for the day.
We walked down to Shipwreck Bar which wasn't open yet. We sit under umbrellas so we don't get burned. We noticed the palm frond shade umbrellas looked a bit sparse and would not provide enough shade to cover our bodies, and we didn't see any better places, so we walked back to Carambola. We got some wooden slate chairs that had a pad on them under a good size umbrella. Later, a young man came by and asked for $25 to rent them.
Although the restaurant menu prices are enough to make you choke, the drink prices on the beach were more reasonable, in the $10 - $12 range.
The jet ski area was in front of us in a roped in area, and it made for some noise, but I was still able to read and nap. We were near where a lady gave massages. I noticed her approach several people about massages but luckily she didn't both us. There was also a gentleman who wanted to sell some aloe vera plant for sun burn, and a lady selling jewelry. There were several rows of chairs, so we were not bothered too much.
The snorkeling was nice except there were not many fish because most of the coral was dead. The only area with a little bit of live coral was to the left where the jet skis came in and out. We saw a sting ray, more fish, and four squid.
Carambola (on the right side if you are facing the hotel) had bathrooms with changing rooms. A lady swept out the sand and scolded people who did not rinse off their feet before coming to the bathroom.
Overall, it reminded me of Orient Beach at St. Maarten without all the bar/restaurant choices.

It’s a quick cab ride from pretty much any part of the island, and possibly on the way to a restaurant you might be heading to. It’s most definitely worth a stop to take in the views on both sides. Go see it!

This old plantation estate houses the Caribelle Batik works. You can watch colorful, tie-dye clothes being made.
We arrived at 3.00 on a Sunday afternoon. Batik demonstration was non existent with the staff rushing to get rid of us so they could go home
