Goes has a delightful harbour which is quintessentially Dutch in appearance. Whether you’re mooring or walking around the town, it’s a very enjoyable vista and if the weather is clear, a great photo opportunity.
The town itself offers a good selection of places to eat and drink and it’s well worth a visit.

Hi guys,
This an excellent playground for children not older than 12 years.
They swing and slide.
Climb in a tower.
Walk on a wooden walkway that's in the water.
( A bit scary for the young ones.).
Play in the sand. Build sandcastles.
I went here, a couple of years ago with my children.
Nowadays with my grandchildren
Regards
schliek.

I found it interesting to see what a small town 17th century town hall looked like. The interior of the building is worth checking out.

The museum, which was formerly an orphanage, today covers three floors and presents a fascinating history of the Islands of North and South Beveland. As you journey past the many different exhibits, you will learn about the local militia, you will find yourself in the middle of a drowned village, and you’ll discover the history of Goes from the stories of both orphans and Samplers. In the large attic (or Zeeuwse Meisje room), there is an exhibition of traditional local costumes. For children a special ‘treasure hunt’ has also been organised.
This museum has what you would expect a historic museum to have. Some old paintings, some items from guilds, some items from the town hall, and some medieval prison items. On top of that some armour from the 80-years war, and even some Roman stones. One floor is dedicated to Zeeuwse hats and another to Zeeuwse clothing, particularly dresses. All quite nice, but nothing spectacular.

This is a lovely wood with many trees. A river runs through it and willow trees embellish the water. It was sunny the day we were there, which makes it a leisurely and enjoyable walk through these wood. It took us around an hour to visit this beautiful place.
However, we eventually had to go back in town as we were hungry. Next time we will visit it even more vigorously.

Molen de Koorbloem is gelegen aan de rand van het centrum, in een gebied met veel groen. De molen verkeert in uitstekende staat en ziet er zeer mooi uit.
