TITLIS is the jewel in Central Switzerland's crown and the only publicly accessible glacier in the area. You will feel on top of the world as you take in the spectacular panoramic views of snow-covered Mountains and unspoilt Alpine landscapes. The TITLIS ski area is home to more than 80 kilometres of pistes, with slopes to suit every ability. The season lasts from October until May. And in the summer, the mountain is a mecca for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
We covered Jungfraujoch, Gornegrat which gave us breathtaking views for sure but the best engagement happened at Titlis....fantastic place for kids....so many activities to do in snow....loved watching people skiing....if you have kids along with you and are comparing Jungfraujoch, Gornergrat & Titlis I will strongly recommend Titlis....best place

Titlis Bridge is a nice place in Titlis. When visiting in peak winter, it is fully covered with snow. It is beautiful to visit the place for all tourists when in Titlis.

There are guided tours available by appointment of the cloister. You get a general view of the interior, and there is a "cell" that you can see (it now functions as a guest room). You get views of the garden from above. The meeting hall is quite lovely, and there is one chamber that is very ornately decorated.
The church is baroque, yet fairly low-key. An interesting thing to do is to hear the monks chanting at the daily services.

Absolutely extraordinary place!
Pros:
- Cheaper, costs around 18 franks return if you want to use the cable car.
- Has beautiful walks for all levels of fitness. Ranging from extremely easy to some more difficult hiking spots and even spots for climbers.
- Great restaurant with stunning views.
- Playground for kids that are well maintained, and even has a fort look out for them.
- Has a toboggan ride that costs roughly 5 franks per ride. Had a deal to make it cheaper if you buy more tickets at once. Ride is about 800m and had great viewing spots.
- Cow Bells can be seen and patted.
- Amazing view of the Alps and especially Mount Titlis.
- Spots for some amazing and picture perfect photos.
- Staff at chairlift, ride and restaurants are all very friendly and will even provide some suggestions on trails depending on fitness levels if you're into taking a walk/hike.
Cons:
- To go further up there is an option for a second chairlift, but this is a seperate price and will cost around 18 franks return again, bringing total travel costs to around 36 franks.
- Cafe at top of the mountain (further up from the restaurant) is quite pricey.
Something to not miss out on, and a much much much cheaper alternative to Mount Titlis.

Winter season: Ski, Snowboard, Cross Country and Telemark lessons (group and privat lessons), Freeride...Event organisation for companies, clubs and families such as alpine games, olympic games, organisation and realization of ski races, snow shoe tours and torch light hikes and more... Summer season: Kayaking, MTB, fishing and more...
I had ski lessons for beginners with Claudine in end season, together with my daughter that is an intermediate skier. If it was not for her tenacity, professionalism and flexibility that could not be possible due to all the beginners area being closed by this end season. But Claudine manage to find suitable places/slopes for me and my child, and manage to correct, teach and improve both our skills. I must thank not only Claudine but also Nicole from the school administration for making this possible. I could learn and improve my skills a lot even when not in ideal terrain, which end up making it even the more fun. I will most definitely be back in the next season and hope to learn more while having a great time :)

We had not been skiing for a while and looked for some good instructors to brush up our technique. After calling all ski schools in Engelberg we decided for Active Snow Team because there advice and service by phone and email was the best.
Rolf our ski instructor was excellent. Not only does he speak good English, he also managed to improve my techniques so well. Now I need half my strength and have a never experienced control over the skis. My fear has vanished and the fun has tripped.
Rolf thanks again.
P.S: I wish I had started my fist ski lessons with you in my younger days. We will be back next season.
