Our family including my 86 year young Dad and my 11 year old niece all took the Canyon trip. It was fantastic!! Great staff, very safe and even got me who's afraid of heights to enjoy it! The canyon is lovely. Don't miss this gem...MoreThank you so much for visiting and for the great review! We take great pride in being an activity for all members of the family. Hope to see you again sometime!

Enchanting. We went in the abundant 4th year of the spawning cycle. Mid week has fewer visitors, while weekends are overrun with visitors.
What's interesting is that everyone is quiet watching this beautiful phenomenon of nature...like being in a place of worship. It's a personal experience regardless of who your with. We went 3 days in a row. Took tons of pics and footage but nothing can capture the experience of being there. GO

Talking Rock Golf Course, the pride of the Little Shuswap Nation, opened in August 2007 and is becoming a mature and a world renowned course that has a calibre leaving you wanting to take the challenge over and over again.Whether you are advanced in your game or in the learning stages, our course offers a challenge for everyone. The first hole begins just across the lane from the front entrance of the Lodge and completes with the last hole played along the shores of Little Shuswap Lake.
Fantastic layout. Bordering Little Shuswap Lake, it's a enjoyable challenge. Lush fairways and quick greens make a day of golf here worth while. Unorganized starter, sending out twosomes made the round longer than it should be. Note!! If you take the stay and play package, make sure the pro shop has you tee time. There is a disconnect between the front desk and the pro shop. Even tho they are 15 feet apart, there is no guarantee they talk to each other.

We had one of those days with a few hours to kill while staying in Sorrento. With 2 children and the other reviews we figured this would be a nice excursion.
Fortunately we phoned ahead for operating hours (11-3) and made it there by 2pm.
We paid at the shop and were given some history of the refuge and info on the various donkeys. It was also explained that feeding is not permitted as with a traditional petting zoo type facility. Also, no riding the donkeys in case you were wondering.
Other than that you are free to roam around and pet, hug and touch these beautiful creatures from your side of the fence.
There is also a barn area with a few more donkeys including a couple mules. The barn was nice for getting out of the blazing heat & sun!
We were fortunate enough to meet one of the staff in the barn who explained some of the stories (both happy & sad) behind these wonderful animals.
We spent an hour visiting with most of the donkeys which was just about right for our 5 y/o daughter.
You'll know Rosie if you meet her - she's the one who backs right up for a nice scratching on her backside :)
Great facility with well kept and well treated animals. Left with a lot of loving from them all.

this little municipal course has been here since the 1960's. And its just a real nice course. The clubhouse is old, but comfortable, and the café menu is excellent. Homemade soups. Muffins, sandwiches, etc. Its licensed also.
$20. for 9 holes is a good deal. Takes about an hour and a half to play. Level. Only one water hole. Good for beginners and fair weather golfers alike.

Enjoyed tenting on a summer wkend. Campfire ban on so different. Outhouse very clean. Saw campsite monitor twice. Some long term campers set up there but lots of choice spots on the lake. Had to clean up previous campers butts and dog poo! Enjoyed swimming, very warm. Also awesome views, fresh saskatoons & wild raspberries at campsite to pick. Quiet, no campers near us and those around respectful of noise. Provincial camp website helpful in knowing what to expect. We caught no fish.

Make a stop in your travels to the sunny Shuswap and visit the Chase and District Museum. Step back in time and see the diverse heritage of Chase and area. More than a century ago something cool happened here. And we're not just talking about the weather.
We love to stop at small community museums to learn a bit about local history. This small museum did not disappoint! Admittance is by donation, and the displays in the old church give information about the early settlement and First Nations history of the area. Beside the old church building is a log cabin that has been moved from its original location and you can also go inside that.
