I was told 2 million dollars has been spent on restoring this big old home, so I was surprised to see cracks on the walls, damaged ceilings, doors coming from their hinges but some of the renovations are great such as the cedar staircase and the balcony.
Overall I think its a nice place to visit to get a glimpse of life for the wealthy people in Australia's early European settlement, cost for entry is $10.

We did the Warwick to Stanthorpe trip. All volunteers were informative, knowledgable, friendly & helpful. Bus picked up our group up at Stanthorpe & took us to 2 wineries, an olive farm, a micro brewery & a lovely restaurant for a delicious country style lunch. Portions were more than substantial. Bus returned us to train which had continued to Wallengarra. Carriages have been beautifully restored. Organisation run by volunteers who do an outstanding job keeping history alive. Had the best day. Highly recommended for all.

I have visited Morgan Park Many times. If you are in Warwick or heading there just ask what's on. Very often something is on from drag racing vw's , historic, super street Etc to circuit racing vintage, Porsche, escorts the list goes on.
Where else can you walk through the pit lane free with most competitors very happy
To chat. My recommendation is Drag Fest with a very good party Sat night or mixed circuit day where you will see all sorts of vehicles racing from Ferraris to vintage open wheelers.

I'm a local, only go there time to time for lunch or diner, Wednesday night $10 for steak, chips & salad (very good value I think), the staff is very well manners & friendly and the place very nice & clean with all the charms of an antique building. First time I went there (8 years ago) was to a x-mas party from work, the room was a private room up-stairs was really good. Since then we go with my husband, family or friends.
If you like historical old building, you'll love this place

This is a nice spot to spend an hour or so, more if you want to fish or kayak. The water levels are a bit low but you can take a 4wd right up to the water. There is a basic picnic area with toilets and swings, and you can walk out onto the dam wall.
