SAGA HIKING TRAIL WITH FAIRY TALE FOREST AND SPECTACULAR VIEW FROM SUMMIT-HUT With two starting points the Saga Trail in Sauda is an easily accessible and versatile hike that most people can manage fine. The Fairy Tale Forest, handmade Sherpa Stairs and Panorama view from the hut on the very summit of Hovlandsnuten mountain provides a great hiking experience.
Although a challenging hike to the top of the Hovlandsnuten, with a few snow fields still present in June, it was well worth it. The views from the top are amazing. Bring a hearty lunch and eat in the new building on the top which also has great views.

World class architecture meets stunning and dramatic landscape! Try the delicious mining soup - visit the (probably) most beautiful parking lot / toilets - walk the guided tour. This is something special!

Her kosa me oss skikkeleg. Bra stort område for dei minste. 250 kr for ein familie er vel verd pengene her!

The Industrial Workers Museum at Sauda in Ryfylke shows what it was like to live in a worker`s apartment anno 1920 and 1960. A photographic exhibition shows life at the foundry to the present.
Do not bother stopping for this as the museum is closed for renovation this (entire) year, I was told by the lady from the local tourist office. Must be good next year then....Yes we had closed the museum for a year to get a full restauration. Now the museum is renovated and ready to be shown to the public again. Are you in the area are you welcome to visit us.

Trangt men koselig!
