Bridal Veil Falls is a must do if you are in the Raglan area.
It is spectacular and viewable from just a 10 minute walk from the car park. You can view it from the top, mid way & at the bottom if you are prepared to walk the very many steps down & back up but it is definitely worth the effort to see such a spectacular sight from different angles!

excellent Beach to rest and relax, water sports in the area however we were travelling with a 3 year old and all she was interested was to swim and eat. Many places to eat and indeed a beautiful place to rest with the entire family.

We had the best ride of our lives with the nicest guides through sheep and cow pastures, across creeks, and all along the black volcanic sand beach of Ruapuke. This was all followed by the best vegetarian burgers (at our request in substitute for regular burgers) we've ever had in our lives and a nice bottle of wine. This was WAY more incredible than what we expected! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Ok, the drive on unsealed road is a little scary but traffic is sparse and the views are immense. Tell the driver to concentrate on the road! The lookout is worth the 15 minutes. For more intrepid explorers not far off is the start of a slog to the top of a hill. I preferred the seascapes! If in Raglan, do try this simple trip if you have transport.

I was sorry to read of Lionel's less than sublime eating experience... perhaps he can try again with the kumara chips, for which I happily travel from Hamilton.
I then move outside, depending on the wind and tides, the vistas are never the same, even if, in theory, the same view.
Parking is not a biggie, as one reviewer mentioned, just park further away, the journey is definitely part of the destination where the Raglan Wharf is concerned.
