As always my massage with Jonny was faultless. He appears to know my body better then I do (in a purely medical sense!) and finds the potential problems before they become problems. Even though at times it is slightly uncomfortable (I do get some nasty...MoreHaha, I'm glad you clarified the capacity in which he knows your body better than you Carole! We're excited to welcome you to the new place, and I'm sure the massage quality will be equally as fantastic. Thanks for the fabulous review. x

Guisborough Forest

Guisborough Forest is a splendid area to come for a walk or simply to relax. There are several marked trails as well as a plethora of pathways through and around the forest. I was impressed by the amount of work done to create art work and various other facilities for children to play on, and there is plenty of green space for those who want to picnic.
There is also a visitor centre and cafe, so there really is something to suit all tastes.
I note some people moaning about having to pay to park and would point out that it is only a pound for a couple of hours and a couple of pounds for all day, which is hardly extortionate.

Guisborough Priory

Guisborough Priory is a lovely place. The main ruin is a splendid structure and the other ruins have enough information boards to paint a good picture of what the magnificent Priory would have looked like.
On this beautiful, sunny day I was impressed by how lovely the whole site is. In addition to the Priory ruins there are lovely Gardens, some woodland and lots of benches and green space on which to relax and watch the world trundle ever so slowly by.
What a lovely place to spend a lazy hour,

Guisborough Forest & Walkway Visitor Centre

We live in Guisborough and have been many times over the years. The newest addition of the Gruffelo Trail is fantastic! The play area is so much fun as is the ponds and playing along the different bits and bobs along the way. The cafe that is there is brilliant we had taken cash thank goodness as the card machine wouldn't work - the portions are huge and very tasty too. We take a flask and a bottle of juice so we can take our time walking around there's lots to do fun day out for both young and older children (adults too).
I think a great addition would be dog poop bags and bins along the trail so responsible people can pick up what irresponsible people leave behind! Also maybe a bin or 2 for general rubbish.

We called in to watch the football and ended up having a truly wonderful dining experience. The Sunday lunch of roast beef and all the trimmings was fantastic. I had Eton mess for dessert and my husband had chocolate sponge with orange sauce and fresh cream. Delicious! The staff were brilliant. Very clean premises throughout. We were passing through the area and found the Ship Inn! Marvellous!
