Qinhuangdao (/ˈtʃɪnˈhwɑːŋˈdaʊ/; 秦皇岛) is a port city on the coast of China in northeastern Hebei province. It is administratively a prefecture-level city, about 300 km (190 mi) east of Beijing, on the Bohai Sea, the innermost gulf of the Yellow Sea. Its population during the 2010 national census was 2,987,605, with approximately one million people living in the built-up (or 'metro') area made up of three urban districts.

We were recommended by a cab driver to come here for 'famous' seafood. However, I found it disappointing. I realized that all seafood places in China are the same. The same setup and the same way of cooking. We went to a seafood place in Qingdao and the taste is the same there and here.

This café has been well decorated and is very comfortable with a good atmosphere. It has a specialist coffee and tea menu as well as a good variety of food. The food was very good and I had a great Moroccan tea.
They do have outdoor Seating on a deck, but it is right next to a slightly smelly ditch, so check it out before you decide to sit outside. This may be quite pleasant at different times of the year.
Would recommend this café.

To order in english is quite challenging but you can point at all the sea food and dishes, since it's fresh lying there in the entrance area. the great white building is easy to find at the north west corner of Hebei and Hongqi street. although it's not a western touristic area, I recommend outstanding sea food for a decent price.

Bakery Inn specializes in various international breads and Italian cuisine.
There's not much in the way of western food in the city, and what is there has to aim more at Chinese tastes to survive, so it can seem a little off to what I'm expecting. I think Bakery Inn has found a good middle ground.
The pizzas are great and consistently so. The crust is thin, the sauce is well-seasoned and not sweet, and the cheese is always nice. The toppings are all beef-based because it's a halal restaurant but still taste good.
Other menu items are worth trying, but sometimes vary in quality. The salads can be a little on the small side, but I think they're meant to be a shared side rather than a meal--although they are priced like a meal. I especially recommend the eggplant dish which is sort of like a lasagna with eggplant instead of noodles. I think they're still trying to find a popular version of the dish, though, as it's been slightly different every time I've gotten it. The pastas are basic, but nice.
I don't like buying coffee or drinks here, they're really expensive for what you get. It's comparable to Starbucks in price, but smaller and I don't think as consistently made. I'd guess the quality is comparable, as a former barista.
Generally, this is a little more expensive than similar restaurants, but with the exception of the drinks, I think it's worth it due to the higher quality ingredients and more unique dishes.
All that said, I gave it a five but that's on a Qinhuangdao scale. In another city, it'd be a 4, very good food, but sometimes a little too pricey.
