We hired a car and visited this little river beach, it was just over an hours drive from albeferia but it was well worth it. As it's a little out the way it's not overly crowed and mostly locals. The water and sand is very clean there is some parasols for people to use and even toilet, shower and resteraurant facility's. This is a special little place and you would be silly not to visit here.

A nice option if you're spending an afternoon in Alcoutim. It's a short boat ride to Sanlucar de Guadiana (Spain) and once there you can opt to return by zip line or take a walk inside the small but beautiful village. The highlights are the church of Nuestra Señora de las Flores and San Marcos Castle. Recommended!

Soulful Bikes

I rented a BMW RnineT at Soulful Bikes and it was a good experience.
The bike was brand new and in top condition. I chose a premium helmet because I wanted the bubble effect but their standard helmet was just fine.
They even offered me a cool scarf themed with their brand.
Staff was very nice and professional.
Next time in the Algarve I'll rent again with these guys for sure!

Menires do Lavajo

Reviewed By alisonka - Nantwich, United Kingdom

About 1km down a gravel track amongst lovely countryside, the menhires are behind a fence but quite evocative all the same.
Very peaceful and nice to just stand for a while and imagine the people who placed the stones there and why.
Not earth shattering but well worth the effort.
