This restaurant keeps the typical eel options "Ensopado de Enguias" at a high level, I recent visit it again during march 2014 and still have high quality. not so crowded as in summer time. Again a home made style meal. I recommend the good red wines and the Black Pig on the grill. The variety is not that huge but the quality and service is at it´s best. Call in advance, it´s a 20 min car drive from Vila Real Sto Antonio

The balcony has great views of the river and Spanish Sanlucar on the opposite bank. It was time for beer and a light lunch. The goats cheese and bread was a delicious appetiser! The mackerel was tasty, the chicken delicious and I tried a local dish! The local white wine was good value and fresh on the palate! A lovely stop on a spring day!

A simple Portuguese bar and cafe offering simple meals at a reasonable price. For those who smoke, you are able to smoke in the small bar area so if you are there in the rainy season you don't have to get wet !!

With an amazing view over the river, this basic restaurant offers all you want when you go to Portugal; delicious homecooked meals and a friendly staff. Enjoying the sun in February, listening to the bells of the church. Our vacation started briliantly. Try the chicken; juicy and crisp.

This great new restaurant is clean and modern with friendly people who speak perfect English. The food is superb, our kids had Turkey and my wife the dish of the day, pork cheeks. I had an excellent fresh golden bream in lime and caper sauce. Drinks and desserts good too.
The prices are fantastic even by Portuguese standards.
Thoroughly recommended.
Thank you.

We stopped in Alcott I'm for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Unfortunately mid-February it's not tourist season and Obama Camano was the only restaurant that was open.
We ordered the wild boar stew special.
The food was OK, but very greasy. The service was friendly but the meal overall lacking in taste.
However, the house wine was great as was the house Port.
