This former soviet missile base is mostly revealed through its several underground displays and settings. Occasionally, the narrative wanders a bit off piste but there are some genuinely thought-provoking moments realised through multi-lingual displays and a good quality audio-guide in english. There is the occasional bit of arty pretentiousness and some dressing up opportunities for the selfie-fixated but most of the content is very worthy and builds up nicely to a very dramatic close encounter with one of the 4 missile silos.
Definitely not to be missed.

If you happen to stumble upon the town of Plungė, in the Žemaitija Region, do not miss the local library, housed within an 18th century former clock tower with adjacent greenhouse. The greenhouse is long gone (even though the entrance of the library still resembles it) but the clock still works nowadays! It only has one arm though, so you can only correctly check the hours, not the minutes…
Go inside and check it out! The librarians are very friendly and they would be happy to tour you inside the building.
More than a place to study or to grab a book, this is a place to be.

From the Tank that greets you to the hidden sculptures (and the hidden meaning) this is a true delight. The shear vastness of the property to the innumerable sculptures it is one of a kind. When in Palanga or Klaipeda, this is certainly a chance to do and see something completely different!
