We first went to the avenue for the sunset. Beautiful lighting for pictures and amazing sunset behind the baobab trees. There were a few other tourists, but not many. We also went to the avenue the next morning on our way to Kirindy Forest. This is the time to go if you want to have the avenue for yourself, of course, with the exception of the locals which makes the place so picturesque. This place is magical!

This was our first forest "walk" on Madagascar and we had high hopes of seeing plenty of lemurs, but they were predominantly high up in trees, with just a few at/near ground level. As is usual in Madagascar it requires a drive of an hour over unpaved roads to access the park.
We did get a close up view of the fusa, a carnivore that is native to the island and looks quite fearsome.
The walk is quite easy over flat ground with some of the path through the forest cover.

My husband and I went sailing on the Nofy Be along the West coast of Madagascar in April 2012. This without a doubt is one of my greatest experiences in Madagascar and I lived there for almost 2 years. On board the food was delicious, freshly prepared everyday on a stove on deck and the views both day and night were breath taking. One evening we saw the whole Milky Way as the sky was lit up by the moon, with no artificial light or obstructions on the horizon. We dived everyday with the extremely professional and knowledgable diving instructor and went on day trips on land, which meant we could visit the markets and local projects and charities such as Blue Ventures. I would whole heatedly recommend the Nofy Be and it's wonderful crew. It's a pleasant way to travel and provides an exquisite perspective of Madagascar.

This appears to be a duplicate listing for the Avenue of the Baobobs. And the baobobs are definitely worth seeing. However, you can avoid the crowds by going in the early morning. No one there but a few locals.

la meilleur boite de nuit de Morondava
La plus grande en tout cas... Le côté agréable est surtout le bar extérieur surtout lorsqu'il fait chaud lors de la saison des pluies ! Soirées à thème régulières. Bonne ambiance.

I went there to experience "Tourism Solidaire". It was nice and full of experience. However, the real claim could be with the cleanliness. It was like camping so far with much more equipment. One night is enough if you are heading to Belo sur mer and at most 04 nights for a local experience! It has a nice beach access!
