I am a big fan of lonely planet, so the village decribe so perfectly..small,quiet peaceful with beautiful natures. Travelling from Fenghuang it's very easy..just 60-70 minutes. The village fee is 60 RMB (all mentioned) but we have to pay 120 RMB per person for 1 night stay. We are very poor with chinese language so even i asked for the explanation, it seem no explanation. I came back to ask my chinese friend in Thailand so he said it's 60RMB for enter fee in the day time and because we stay over night that why we have to pay 120RMB. Our ticket included the Miao night show but we can not know due to language problem.(no one speak english). Anyway we saw the show and it's good. But the village charming gone with new concreat house contruction and lound carry megaphone from chinese tour group. The small charming river die because of contrction by big truck blocked the river trail. The waterfall need a long walk, the waterfall not too charming by itself(small/not much water) but the walking trail is good. The view point need hikking skill up far to the top point in a quiet/abandon walking steps. The good things here is local people..they are charming to me.

There are very few hidden gems in China but this place is not heavily visited. You have amazing scenery, rice fields and interesting architecture. No English spoken in this area so you need to prepare well.

It takes 3 hour hiking from center of Dehang Miao village, the beginning park is kind of flat walking through the field with peaceful view, the other half is a hiking-up. when you reach the top, you would be like stand at the world top. there is a very very nice sightseeing platform where you can take a bird's eye view for the whole canyon. and It's also where in alegend, Quyuan-the well-known Patriot in ancient time questioning God about the unfairness with 108 questions.

This road leads from Aizhai township up to the Aizhai bridge, but it's being rebuilt after many years, so it will be great when it's finished. It is a very steep, winding switchback road, with a really interesting old stone bridge about three quarters of the way up. At the top of the road is the spectacular Aizhai bridge between two tunnels - one of the world's highest and most spectacular Bridges. If you are lucky, you might see a BASE jumper fly off the bridge, or a paraglider soar past. The terrain is truly mystical, and the Aizhai township at the bottom of the valley looks simply stunning.
There is a small hotel near the bottom of the road, facing the bridge, where you can get food and drink, relaxing for a while to soak up the beautiful view. Really nice people there, and great food. It's a starting point for rock climbing, caving, kayaking, and aerial activities. Extreme sports enthusiasts and adventurers should definitely call in there.

Well, we went their last year, I expected something more calm and beauty becuaes its located in the middle of nowhere but its turn our to be not much but entrance fee for over night is much. At the time the canal not really beautiful, its muddy and blocked by the contruction sand. I guess no more small village, its turning itself to be more commercial one. The good point is it not too far from Jisou and not hard to access.

I enjoyed the suspension bridge while going to the village.
I heart of this bridge.
To view the bridge, was told to be the highest suspension bridge , from below gave me a feeling of engineering superiority. To drive through it confirmed how great the engineers are. It is a man made wonder itself. I encourage all to visit the bridge.
I did not enter the village as was told that all the shows and shops are close during winter.
