This cute little café/bistro is really easy to miss, but it does have a lot of charm.
Located on Montreal St, we visited for coffee and dessert on a Friday evening.
Excellent specialty coffees, limited choices for other hot beverages. We actually chose the place because we thought they served Mishka teas but they do not, so we were slightly disappointed.
Very good, friendly service and the carrot cake was yummy!! One member of our party had a burger and that was good, too, I hear.

I tried this place based on reviews. What a waste of money, time and huge disappointment. The owners must be writing reviews. This is a chain in every aspect and the food reflective. The cheese curds are not fresh, obviously cut from a bag and of whole sale manufacture quality, the gravy is tasteless and heated from a can, followed by low grade mystery meat hot dog placed on a soggy bun. The food looks nothing like images you see online or on display in restaurant. Adding insult, the order arrived wrong. Give any local casse-croûte or chip stand in Quebec a try instead of this place to avoid disappointment.

I wish I could transport this restaurant to my hometown. Their French/Belgian table d'hote is delicious -- and affordable. And then they let you bring your own wine without a corkage fee. What more could you want? The snails on puff pastry were particularly good, as was the duck and pork with cheese. The restaurant was busy (make a reservation), but service was pretty decent.
I'd eat here at least once a month if I lived in Sherbrooke.

We enjoyed a very nice evening here to celebrate my daughters' graduation. The restaurant was full but you would have thought we were alone as the service we received was exceptional.
The waitress was outstanding. My son has a severe allergy to fish and after ordering she made him change his appetizer as their was fish in his choice. He ordered the pulled beef egg rolls which looked delicious! I had the beet salad with nordic shrimp that was very tasty and fresh. Others had the pork with barley which looked delicious. Two others had the Explorateur menu which was three separate appetizers which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The cream of mushroom soup and the seafood soups were creamy and outstanding and full of flavour.
The Explorateur menu included 3 different balls of sorbet to clean the palate. A granité probably would have been less heavy, but they were quite tasty and I helped my husband eat them.
The kangaroo was a hit for those who had it. The texture was interesting and the blueberry sauce was extremely tasty. The veal with onions and bacon was appreciated as well. My lamb chops were excellent and cooked to perfection. The side dishes in all plates were very good. The shrimp and filet mignon in the explorateur menu were great!
All desserts were enjoyed (Mango parfait, A chocolate dessert, pecan pie). Tea was included in the table d'hote and Explorateur menus.
Everything was great but especially the service. Don't forget to bring your own wine!!

Great atmosphere bordering on that of a bistro, but with exceptional food. Both myself and my wife had pork dishes, but the pork belly stole the show! There is outside Seating, but it is right on the road, complete with exhaust fumes! The air con inside was a little "fierce" but just ok!
One of the best restaurants we visited whilst in the area.

We were walking around the Lake of Nations and decided to stop for lunch.
We found a great table out on the deck looking over the park and lake.
The food was delicious and fresh and more than we could manage. I had linguine and others in the group had fresh pizza.
We also had a sample of the local beers which were really interesting too.
All of these were great but the berry beer is a must try experience.
The staff were pleasant and attentive and were happy to speak English for our group.
All up this was a great restaurant and I would definitely go here again when I am back in Sherbrooke.
Say hi to Frank when you're there.
Thanks.

If you visit Sherbrooke or are doing a tour of the Eastern Townships wineries, then a stopover in Sherbrooke is warranted for just one reason: dining at La Table du Chef and being wowed with Chef Alain`s extraordinary culinary talents. We were so impressed with our three course dinner, that we returned a second evening. La Table d`Hôte is impressive and I strongly recommend le foie gras poilé and the scallops as entrées, followed by any les plats principales. Chef Alain, sommalier Alexandre and his team are friendly and very committed to making your evening something to remember.
