Enjoyed a quick dinner in the hotel restaurant - and while the hotel room is rather "worn" the restaurant was nice, with high quality original art on the walls, which I did not manage to finish looking at before my food was served.
The menu is small, and with the traditional dishes that I expect can be sold here. Already had fish once today, so opted for the Wiener Schnitzel I have not had in a while.
It was good - with great potatoes, and the ("obligatory in DK) green peas (from the freezer, but good quality), fresh horseradish, , capers an anchovy and a lemon slice.
The house red was a disappointment, and served 4-5 degrees too warm - but I did not bother looking or asking before ordering, so my mistake.
Cannot remember the price, but nothings struck me as being out of the ordinary.

We've visited shortly before the closing time and were allowed to stay in until one hour after the closing time. It's such a cozy, little place. Not a very fancy inside, but the food is good for a pizzeria. We've had a pizza with french fries and a dressing on top - I've never tried anything like it, so it was def an interesting experience for me ;)
Very friendly staff.

Færgegrillen is placed at the harbour of the most North Western flank of Denmark; Hanstholm. They serve fast food as well as more "decent" meals. Generally to be considered more cafe than real restaurant.
We had "stjerneskud" - a classic Danish fish dish, which most people enjoy. The various fish was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately they put the dressing directly on the toasted bread; the bread changed from crisp to very soft in a few minutes time. The meal was very reasonable priced, so overall a good experience you should not miss, if you visit Hanstholm. Reservation should not be necessary.

Over in Klitmoller with our Danish family and they took us to this fish bar which sells fish but also has a restaurant.
The portions were huge. I cannot remember what was ordered for us but it pretty much had about three fish each and some prawns with bread and salad. It was very cheap, very fresh and very Danish.

I used to come to the building as a kid and remembered the splendid views. Having heard that it had reopened, I went for a family occasion and had high expectations. I left with mixed feelings but would return.
Food: I had the bruschetta and then the mussels. I actually expected the worst for the bruschetta. I have lived in Italy, have Italian family and accordingly high standards. But it was really very delicious. The mussels were equally great. 5 stars from me on that account. But not everyone else were equally happy with their orders. I think the seafood was better than the meat.
Service: The service was truly outstanding. We were seviced by a friendly and professional waitress.
Ambience: The spaces are great and there are spectacular views. However it was incredibly noisy because of a table of middle aged men. We could not have any meaningful conversation and it was annoying. I think the manager should have asked them to behave, moved them to another room, or asked them to leave. It really spoiled the occasion.
So my food was great, and so was sevice. But other dishes were disappointing and it was simply too noisy.
I will give it four stars and give it another chance.
