Vengurla lighthouse offers you breathtaking view of sea. It is located on the edge of mountain. You can visit this place after 9 am till 1 hr. before sunset. There is an entry fee of INR 20. Government engineer explain the functionality of lighthouse.
View from lighthouse is best. There are two ways to reach at Lighthouse. You can take steps from Jetty to reach at lighthouse. There are around 800-850 steps to climb. Another way is by small road but better to ask local for appropriate road. We use steps after parking car at Jetty. It was good experience.

Very clean beach since there are no tourists, almost. Mostly locals visit in the evening hours for a glimpse of the sunset. Not very huge waves, but good for families to splash around. Just be careful of the stray dogs, lots of them around!!

Nivati Beach

Reviewed By KaustavSBanerjee

My Nivati beach visit was one of the most spectacular sea shore exploration ever. We just heard about this beach and started our trip without having much information which eventually ended up to be the most memorable one.
About Nivati Beach: A picture perfect isolated virgin beach with hillocks in backdrop. Since very less people visit this place, it is the cleanest beach I have ever visited in west coast of India. The combination of white sand beach and waves through blue water has a mesmerizing effect altogether.
Things to do: Do we always need to go after Water Sports in every sea beach? No right? Nivati is just a place to relax and enjoy the sea. However there are few things one must try
1. Early in the morning there is a possibility to see dolphins. Though I have not tried in Nivati, but in other shores I have seen dolphins and it’s a stunning feeling.
2. Visit to the light house is must. I am not sure whether they still allow visitors at the top or not, but we got a chance to get down to the light house island. Its around 30 minutes boat ride from the shore. Don’t forget to ask the boat owner to take you around the island to see the whale nose point, where the water sprinkles out of a whole in rock due to tide and wave like it comes out of a Whale nose. The view from the light house and the island is breathtaking.
3. While coming back from the island, ask the boatman to take a pitstop to the back water. He will take you to a place where the water would look like a natural pool, no wave, no depth, white sand beach and backdrop of coconut trees. We spent around couple of hours in the water there and still weren’t ready to come out
4. There is a fort as well but I heard it’s not worth visiting, even we didn’t go.
5. And the most important thing, spend a night at least there and do camp fire on the beach. I can sit on the shore with a cup of tea for the entire morning, the view is that good
Where to Stay: There are very less options, only two of them. Out of those two, we stayed in Hardika Beach Resort. Don’t get overexcited by the word resort, its just a basic home stay with very basic facilities. But we didn’t need anything more than that. The owner arranged all the food and boat rides for us. This particular resort is actually on the shore, so we had the white sand at our doorstep.
Food: One has to consume whatever the resort owner would prepare. Needless to say there is no food street around. But the homemade food was awesome and he prepared whatever we asked him. If you love non veg and then I would suggest always try fish and crab while visiting sea Beaches instead of chicken and mutton. We actually got a full plate of fried crab at Rs 50 (way less than chicken and mutton). Do try Surmai and pomfret as well. You can pick which fish you want to eat in the morning while the fishermen come back from fishing.
How to reach: If you don’t want to stay in Nivati, then take a boat from Tarkarli and take a boat to Nivati. You can also reach by road. From Pune/Mumbai, try to google through NH 17. While in NH17, take a right turn from Kudal. The small road will take you to Nivati. There are small roads from malvan as well. You just need to ask and continue.
Special Tips: Though it spells like Nivati, but the way local people call it something like “Niuti”

Mochemad Beach

Reviewed By Karen D - Mumbai, India

Beautiful beach, clean blue waters, completely secluded, few fishermen pulling in nets, local kids flying kites, ox carts carrying sand and white sand. Barely 45 minutes from Arambol in Goa, this beach is definitely worth a visit to spend a day at and be completely by yourself. There's absolutely no infrastructure around this beach so bring your own water, food, etc. if you plan to spend the day here. Beautiful ride from Goa to here too.

Kondura Beach

Reviewed By Himanshu K

This beach is fantastic.
We visited this beach during sunset, the experience was visual delight!!
The beach has all and all raw touch. On the left, there is a small hill filled with coconut trees, on the right there is a small cluster of huts. Sand on the beach is extremely clean. No bad smell of rotten stuff, no litter and best of all, No Plastic. Absolutely Nothing!! Heavy rocks residing on the beach have been chiseled by severe force of the waves. Their shape looks scary!
Kondura in a small village, 40 km from Malvan and 13 km from Vengurla. There is no board that displays the direction for this beach. Most of the time there is no internet range on the way too. There is a small lane on right side on the way to Vengurla that takes you straigth to the village. Travel for approx 2 km on that lane, and you reach Kondura village. At the end of the road there is a narrow and steep slope of around 200 ft before the beach. There are no commercial facilities available in the village. Nearest town is Vengurla.
My visit to this place is simply unforgettable.

This picture perfect place is the newest catch on the Maharashtra coastline. The water is pristine blue, very safe. The idyllic setting is further enhanced by land locking on two sides, and a temple on the hillock, just next to the beach.
We spent our entire morning there....and there were only 4-5 other folks on the beach.
A must visit when you pass through this parts
