Very warm welcome from the owner and staff into a cleverly and simply constructed covered arched courtyard with ceiling fans. The Mojito and Fenny (local hooch) Tail were excellent. Staff attentive but discreet. Starters were prawn spring roll, tempura prawn and fried calamari. All three...Morethank you visiting...see you soon...

Set in a beautiful open space under palms, the Double Dutch is more than a restaurant, it's a MITH. There's some unbeatable treats like the fruit salad served in a half coconut, the most famous cakes of the state, great salads, perfect gin and tonic. The Double Dutch owner, Lucie, employes and empowers local women, and founded a NGO that helps disabled children. So my friends, get to the Double Dutch and spend your money with generosity: great food for a great cause!

Serves various types of food right from Vegetarian to Non-Vegetarian Including Barbecue. We have rooms above restaurant to stay and enjoy the sound of sea waves. Wifi is offered free to customers.
Over the years I've eaten here on countless occasions. The food is always good, although rarely spectacular.
The service is always good, and the waiters are personable.
Great location set on the beach.
As good a place as any to have a meal any time of the day or night.

It's a little like saying Donald Trump was the best presidential candidate. Just because he won doesn't mean he is any good. After having our fill of curry for three meals a day we thought we would try it. It's OK I suppose. But for the life of me I cannot understand why these places don't have clean toilets!!

A Summer Palace built in the 1900's belonging to the royal Family of Pernem. Having gone through many phases, it has finally been renovated and spruced up to give you a property you can fall in love with every time you visit.
All the food and drinks I had were very good and coming from the gulf I found it good value gor money. Can not comment compared to rh local norms.
More light would be helpful as it was very dark at night to see the menu.
Also if people are staying there several days it might be nice to have some activities like a quiz or live music. It would give some atmosphere.
The biggest thing that needs to be the service improved. It is not warm and friendly and welcoming. There is no personal touch there. Please invest in some training in customer service.

I visited with my family for lunch and the view was perfect for senset. The food was great and prices not so expensive. Overall a great experience. The staff could be a little more attentive though.

The food was nice. The waiters were sweet. I found sometimes they could be rude and I had heard extreme reports of such. I just found them a bit rigid sometimes.
The food is quite average but good. The prize is in that the kitchen is super clean. When the owner or manager is gone the service and quality go extremely down. (I had an avocado salad once when the owner was gone, that consisted entirely of a few meagre thin slices of avocado)
In general a nice place to hang out at, and some of the foods are very well done and most are quite average.

We spent almost one week here and it started to feel almost like a second home. The restaurant offers all kinds of great food and incredible views across the beach and the sea. They also offer really nice and clean rooms with also incredible sea views for an unbelievably low price (at least during low season).
Best part is the owner and his family/staff who are the loveliest people you could imagine and will help you with everything.

We were staying there for a couple of hours at evening time, great and relax atmosphere, no loud and annoying music. the pomodoro pasta was good. The staff was nice and welcoming, and the place is nicely designed and have no ugly neon lights!

I have eaten at many excellent restaurants, including a number of 3 star Michelin, but Gome Galili's Matsya was without hesitation one of the best.
If he has a menu I never saw it. Instead, at the time of making our reservation he asked what kind of foods we like and dislike and then prepared a seven course meal which was simply fantastic. Not ordering any of the dishes made each dish a pleasant surprise.
It is high end in creativity, service, attention and price.
We were three guests, and together with the seven courses we also opened two bottles of wine. The total cost came to $175 (12,000 rupees) including a very generous tip. Very good value, for such a memorable experience.
Highly recommended. Reservations required.
