I drove up to the Morro da Igreja, had to take the permit in Urubici, that is easy to find and get, but once I arrived to the location, fog was so intense, that I saw nothing, but from the pictures it looks an amazing site. I will return, from what I learned from the coffee place on the way, that the best time of the year, seems to be August, but, sometimes you need luck, it was cold and that was it.
By the way, you need a car to get here, and the road has some potholes, but yet can be reached.

This is an amazing 330 feet waterfall. We decided to visit the bottom (parte baixa) and then the top (parte alta). Starting from bottom you will drive on a very interesting private route (Eco do Avencal, an educational lodge but you won't pay for that) and then take a 20 minute trek (wear appropriate shoes to walk on rocks). The view is breathtaking. Then go back to the road and visit the top of it (inside the camping, R$ 3/each). We were lucky enough to see a rainbow when we were getting to the top, GORGEOUS!

During our stay in Urubici we visited the Igreja Matriz. The architecture of the church is unique and very attractive. It is well worth a visit.

I'm sure it's a beautiful place and I've seen wonderful pictures from there, but I went there last weekend (august 10th) and there wasn't much water. It's a private property so you have to pay 3 reais (1,35 dollars) to get in. There's also a restaurant but I didn't get in. Even though Urubici is famous because of the cold weather, I think it might be a good idea to go in another season to see things better.

Para quem gosta de cultura indígena, este lugar apresenta duas pequenas paleotocas utilizadas como abrigo de índios. Cheio de túneis obscuros – leve lanterna!

There's a little shop/restaurant on the road that leads into the valley where they sell the bracatinga honey - which is really special. The balcony of the shop offers fantastic views of the valley.
