Old fashioned traditional Irish music pub dating back to 1895, rich in tradition and culture with a lovely atmosphere. Music every Friday and Saturday during the winter and every Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday during the summer, Famous for its trad sessions with some of Ireland finest having played here. Friels is a listed building a still has some of the old structural fittings in place which is worth seeing.
Called in here while driving around the Wild Atlantic Way. Had a super afternoon and ended up staying for the night. There was a great atmosphere in the place and nothing we asked for was too much. The staff were very much on the ball. Nothing we asked for was too much.
We stayed in the nearby Townhouse which was terrific as well.
Couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Our ISA approved surf school operates from Spanish Point beach.White Water Surf Co. was founded in 2007 by local surfer Pat "Preacher" Keane who has been Surfing in this area since the late 70′s, so when you come to us you know that you are benefiting from over three decades of local knowledge.Whether you want to try a surf lesson or buy some equipment, we will do everything we can to ensure that the experience is one you will enjoy.
Simply put ....."amazing"
Pat was the perfect fit for our team of novice surfers. He made us feel welcome and at ease with our obvious challenge ... Surfing the waves. Time was spent creating the ultimate atmosphere for our learning, encouraging and catching each of us at our best attempt on the boards. Fun filled morning for all. Well worth the visit to Spanish Point. Thanks, Pat! Until next time.......

Scenic cliffs stretching 700 feet over the rugged Atlantic coast. A short walk to O'Brien's Tower provides an excellent lookout on Ireland's beautiful western shoreline. The visitor centre hidden underneath the hillside houses an exhibition, two cafes, gift shop, toilets, first aid centre, information points and baggage store
This is a must-see when you’re in Ireland. The views from the cliffs are absolutely amazing! I could have stared at the cliffs and taken pictures all day had it not been so darn windy! There was also a very nice visitor’s center, a large gift shop, and a few other little stores as well. Definitely visit!

It was quite the windy day - when we were at Lehinch Beach in October. It's beauty was breathtaking that day. Great to explore and take in the scenery. It was grand to walk about and watch the waves beating on the shore. The town offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Stunning location, vastly improved layout in the magnificent dunes (we lasted visited in 2014). The first hole must be one of the best starting holes in Ireland with the huge semi-circular dune surrounding the so-called green.
The staff were excellent, the club house facilities and the hotel were top draw but I would avoid returning until assurances could be given that the greens were up to 5* standard.

Unfortunately randomly visited this pub and had an extremely unpleasant encounter/conversation with the most obnoxious arrogant opinionated bar owner my partner and I have ever met.
Have never reviewed a pub on TripAdvisor but felt the need after our experience here.
Pub is also extremely tacky and unauthentic. But the bar owner is our reason for the poor review.

A great night out, in a traditional style pub . The locals were friendly and a nice pint. With live music most nights it had a great atmosphere.

9 hole links course on the Wild Atlantic Way overlooking the fabulous beach at Spanish Point. Tee bookings are recommended but course is usually available at any time. Members only time on Sunday morning until 12 noon.
I only rate Spanish Point Golf Club as average because it is a short (just over 2500 yards) 9 hole course, with very basic facilities. It is inexpensive (25 euro for 18 holes - play the 9 twice) and the golf itself is very good. The holes may not be particularly long, but many are interesting and fun to play. We flew overnight from Newark NJ and went directly to Spanish Point after a stop at Cliffs of Moher (about 30 minutes away), and it was a great place to warm up for the world class courses to come in the next several days. Lahinch is only 20 minutes away, so Spanish Point would not be my primary choice for golf in the area (and Doonbeg is 15 minutes in the other direction), but the staff there is friendly and I would definitely come back under the same circumstances.

Take the trail to the left!! One of the O'brians built this to entertain his female friends!! There is a charge to climb to the top!! 2 Euros. Worth the charge -- great views in all directions!! Absolutely breathtaking scenery!! Hope for a sunny day!!

Nestled in the heart of Ennistymon, Cooley's House or Cooley's as its more commonly known is a warm, welcoming family run pub. It's the ideal place to come and enjoy some traditional Irish music (every Wednesday and Friday nights), a nice fire and a drink or two. A tourist favourite, traditional Irish Coffee's are Cooley's speciality, the perfect complement to a local trad session!
The best bartenders in Clare, Joan and Pat are always welcoming and will make you feel at home. Great little pub with loads of interesting knick-knacks on the walls and ceilings.
