We're a family run seafood and steak restaurant in operation since 1988. We pride ourselves in sourcing the best local seafood and steaks and serve vegetables fresh from the garden. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way against the backdrop of Liscannor Bay, the restaurant combines stunning views with a homely atmosphere and an old-style, Irish cottage charm.
Booked supper here based on TA reviews. Quaint and busy. We ordered the chef's menu- they decide what is served-seafood/meat/veg. Our group split the options - we were able to get 2 options for each type- all pretty good. A la carte also available.

Love the atmosphere in this pub. The staff are super friendly. Great food. I loved the lamb dish with stuffing. The potato leek soup is a must. Every evening that we were there, there was live music. You must stop in here. The fireplace warmed us up after being outside hiking all day.

Looneys Bar can be found on the Promenade at Lahinch With breath taking views over the Atlantic Ocean, It offers a sensitive synthesis between contemporary value in a unique way OLooneys Bar with its exciting menu is served on both its split levels which enjoys breathtaking views of the Sea. A relaxing modern environment, It maintains its authenticity of what made OLooneys famous originally; Surf, Seafood, and Stout, with a fresh modern twist; The menu retains old favourites of fish & chips and hearty chowder aswell as some exciting daily/evening specials Our Bar menu runs from 12.30 Daily to 9.30 ( Summer Season April-September ) and weekends for the winter
Haw a few beers here over a weekend and it's a busy spot. Lots of hen parties (and everything that goes with it!) and a staff keeping up with thirsty customers. Great service from Kenny and Aine looking after us with a warm welcome, friendly chats and fast with the pints. This is a popular music venue with live acts and very weekend. Expect a busy spot and get in early if you want a seat.

My friend and I had been searching for some Guinness stew in the freezing weather, and our wish came true. Very nice waitress, introduced us to a band called the Coronas. She was able to provide information about booking a Cliffs of Moher cruise (when the girl at the visitor's center that sold tickets was utterly clueless). They also have great fresh baked bread and their fish cakes are divine.

As regular visitors to Lahinch, my wife & I have eaten in most of the local restaurants.
We had actually tried to book a table in a different resturant (a few days in advance), but they let us down - so we ended up at VL restaurant instead.
Best 'mistake' ever :)
The restuarant is part of Vaughan Lodge hotel, & it is very comfortable & well decorated - not stuffy, but not too casual either. The staff were very friendly & the usual Clare humour was available on tap! There were set menus available for both 2 & 3 courses, as well as an extensive a la carte option. The wine list was impressive & we went for a bottle of Valpolicella which was excellent.
My wife started witht he Scallops & I had Langoustine - both amazing. For mains we had the lamb & the fillet of beef, & the meat was literally melt-in-the-mouth good!
In between courses various 'amuse bouche' delights were served - varying from a beetroot meringue stuffed with local goats cheese, to a squid ink cracker...incredible.
We had intended to include desserts, but we just weren't able!
I would definitely recommend VL resturant to anyone looking for superb food in a relaxed environment, & we will be back for sure.

Vaughns anchor inn - pleasant local pub with great lunch food. Both the crab and shrimp salad sandwiches were really good. Basically fresh seafood with no wasted filling or sauces. Weather was perfect to eat at the outside tables but the inside was cozy and appealing.

Can't speak more highly of Roadford House. With a varied and delicious menu, Marion and her team handled a large (14 person) group with great warmth and efficiency. Food was outstanding, including local fish, and the wine list was imaginative and reasonably priced. Also helped with pub recommendations and cabs on a busy Saturday night. "I never knew Ireland could be this good" was the refrain from all. Wonderful.

We at Doolin Café aim to provide fresh and healthy food options. We serve breakfast which is oven baked consists of the full irish, scramble eggs with a choice of sides, eggs benedict or florentine, gluten free pancakes and breakfast waffles. Our lunch options consists of homemade soups, fresh seasonal salads, savoury and sweet treats. We try to cater to all needs with a small selection of gluten-free, vegan and vegeterian. Everything is fresh and produced in house unless otherwise stated in which we then source locally.
We were staying at the Doolin Hotel and decided to have breakfast out even though the hotel offers a free breakfast. We enjoyed Doolin Cafe's quaint space while eating our breakfast. Note: pulling out of the Doolin Cafe's parking lot can be tricky. There is a blind spot to the right, not being able to see the oncoming cars. Since there were two of us, the passenger went to the other side of the road to direct the driver out of the driveway safely.
