Panagitsa of Pyrgos consists of many stairs, beautiful white buildings, and lovely views of the town and port. If you are willing to climb high, there are many picturesque locations worthy a visit here.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of doing this almost a year ago now and I still dream about it! We ended up being the only couple that night and went out for a sunset tour and it was one of the greatest memories...MoreThank you so much for your nice review. We hope to see you again with more options for a great escape with our S.U.Ps. Wish you good luck to all your future travel experiences

I love this beach due to its location and clean water.
Unfortunately it is some times become overcrowded, especially during weekends and people are of all sorts. I really hate to see people that litter.
Anyhow, there are sun lounges and umbrellas (7 eur two chairs and one umbrella) and a quite decently priced bar.
The only downside is that I believe they are a little too closed to each other for my taste.

There are a lot of Beaches on the island of Skopelos. As expected many of them are filled with tourists. Neo Klima/Elios has fewer tourists and more locals. It is a clean and safe beach. It is very nice for families. There are several activities which operate our of this beach including Kayaking (Sea Kayak Center of Skopelos with Yvonne and Neil) and Standup Paddle Boarding with Shane. It is not far from the village of Glossa. You can take a taxi or the bus. Taxis are very affordable on the island. It costs about 10 Euro from the Glossa taxi stand to the beach. We used Jimmy (Tsaknis Dimitrios) almost exclusively. He lived in Canada for a number of years and is fluent in both English and Greek. +30 6978 025 718 (Tell him Tom and Linda recommended him). Since the Beaches on Skopelos are primarily rocks rather than sand, I recommend swim/water shoes. As everywhere on the island, the water is totally clear. You can see the bottom of the sea even standing up on a paddle board, kayaking, and swimming.

The church is amazing! Lots of steps to climb but what fab views! There is a tiny beach nearby and because the sea was rough, we had it all to ourselves! There is also a very good café where you can enjoy a coffee after the climb to the church.

Sea kayaking is the perfect way to explore Skopelos island. We offer something for everyone from taster sessions, day trips, sunset tours, holidays, coaching and expeditions, our sunset trips are proving very popular, what better way to end the day than watching the sun melt into the distance from the peace and tranquility of a sea kayak.... All our trips are led by qualified guides and coaches.
Very well organised. Relaxed atmosphere but felt very well looked after. I found steering the kayak really hard and wished I'd stretched before hand. The view was breathtaking. Lunch was perfect on a private beach near Elios. Only the Philip Green' s floating hotel ruined the view. Lucy was exceptional looking after my 7 year old and 13 year old in a double kayak. Would recommend for the active holiday maker but be ready for a work out.

Highly recommended.
If you like sampling views of Greek Orthodox churches, or, wish to indulge yourself every chance you get because you are of the faith, you'll appreciate a visit to this church. We made quick visit as guests of the family who donated the bell tower.
The Greek Archdiocese picked a great spot for this church. It's up on a hill, about 1/2 mile or so outside the town of Skopelos inland under the shade of trees up against a hill. It seems to get the best of the weather on the island throughout the year. A cool breeze flows by even in the blazing sun. And the shade from trees surrounding the facility provide a natural respite during inclement weather.
This is not a "reservation first" only site as some are. Go and enjoy. It will only take a few minutes of your time. This is another spectacular example of how Greek Priests and Monks find spectacular locates to celebrate and cement their bond with their deity for themselves and their followers.

We spent a week at the Panormos beach apartments, found the rooms very spacious and clean only fault I can mention is the double bed wasn't the most comfortable, the beach is only a few meters away from you back door crystal clear water. There are quite a few tavernas along the beach front to choose from. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Just wonderful monastery with a sole nun who told us she was aged 70 and called Maria and had previously lived in Monastery Varvaras. Very peaceful place with astonishing views and Church dating back to 17th century, but Maria was so sweet if not very easy on the eye...Visit if you can the views are astonishing as well. There is an ossuary there as well if you are interested in how the Orthodox Church deals with our earthly remains. We couldn't reach any further up the road beyond monastery metamorphosis due to the road having collapsed.

Visited twice in September and it certainly was lovely.
First week in September and wasn't too crowded plenty of good quality sunbeds either on beach or under shady trees.
The sea was crystal clear and warm and the views spectacular.
We returned third week in September and it was crowded and noisey and we didn't stay just had a different vibe so we went to Milia instead.
There's a good taverna and sunbeds free if u buy a drink or eat something.
Definitely worth a visit and it may be your favourite
