This whole area is great for walking, site seeing and learning a bit about Poltava. There are several churches, parks, small coffee stands, restaurants, a museum and other things within walking distance. The terrible "marshmellow"/dumpling artwork is near this site but still worth many pictures of the local joke of artwork.

The Battle of Poltava history museum is a large historical and cultural reserve. The complex embraces ample monuments related to the Great Battle of Poltava: the Museum of 9 halls, 10 granite obelisks at the places of the old redoubts, various Memorial signs, Sampsonyyvska (St. Sampson) church, Monument to Peter I the Great, and the others. The only Ukrainian museum which is one of UNESCO historical museums; listed to the world tourist itinerary.
You can expect to learn about at this history museum because it has many displays and Exhibitions on the Battle with Sweden in the 1700s that the imperial tsar Peter I fought against. It also showed the brutality of the war and the weapons that were used during that time. Location wise, it's close to wear the Fountains are on the way to the Bila Altanka. Visited there in Oct 2013 and Oct 2016.

Even though located in a nice place, this particular monument is rather unimpressive and unimaginative. Locals do not like it. But if you like to be photographed in a gigantic spoon next to stones imitating dumplings - then it is a place for you to go )

Visited there only once, Aug 2016, It was definitely one of the great Exhibitions of aviation for Soviet Ukraine. M-21, M-19 and older versions of the airplanes can be found on model, you can visit the factory room where the airplanes are made, you can also go up to one plane at 100 hryvnas cost, similar one of the best places to visit if you're a pilot fan!

Visited there again and again from Oct 2013, Aug, Oct, Dec 2016, it's really a beautiful small village, very similar to that on Sun Island Russian town in my native city of Harbin, China!!!!))) This little cottage house reminds me of the Russian country in which farmers and workers live in there for life! In the summer, I can find the red fruits(yagod) from the trees at the entrance, very warm and beautiful when you take photos there) Then in the winter...everywhere's snow, the snow covered cottage sounds like a great place to live in with Ivan)

THis is the centre of the city ladies and gents! Around this round square is the Corpusniy Saad where flowers and trees grow because that's a garden with a 1809 Battle of Poltava monument at the centre! You can find the parliamentary govt. building in the northwest, northeast corners of the roundabout, to the east is the Zhovtneva shopping mall where we can see cafes, malls, and other utilities are.

After renovation this park become more beautiful and got a lot of fame from local peoples. People's park good for all age people - as for the small kids and for the seniors. Long walkway with lots of trees and flowers will make your mind fresh and clean.
There are few attractions as sport court, view point on the top of the hill and driving school for kids.
Very peaceful and beautiful park.
