Citumang is a perfect place for a group outbond. I suggest you to visiting this place in summer. Citumang have green-blue water color, very fresh and natural. You can explore this place with follow the local tour guide. It take about a half to an hour to finish the trip, and don't forget to jump from the 10m cliff.

Cost for non locals was 20$ If we would have known that we would not have gone.
We though it was 5$, what locals pay.
The trip comes with a guide who brings you to all the hot spots and explains everything good. He was quite comical.
The beach at the end was so windy we could not enjoy it.
There was some neat history was Japanese bunkers in the park.
We got to see the deer and porcupines as well as a flying fox.
The monkeys were very aggressive!

If you look for local guides in Pangandaran: Tourist Information Beach Side (Tel. 0813 1376 4535 / 0821 1869 2648). Purnama and Kamal are really great guides/guys. We visited the Green Valley, the Green Canyon and the local National Park with them. It was just perfect and our children had an unforgettable day.

There is two way to go this beach since it is separated by the small forest of Pangandaran national park. One is by walking through the national park and another one is by taking the boat from Pangandaran west beach. If you fancy hiking and love the diversity of Indonesian plants and animals, you have to choose the first option. It cost you about USD 10 to buy the two-way ticket for each person, and you will enjoy the famous monkey forest of Pangandaran. You will also find deer in this forest. It will take you about 30 minutes to reach the white sandy beach (Pasir Putih). Just beware of your belongings (especially hats and glasses) since the monkey might steel them from you. And I suggest you not eating along the way, because it will attract monkeys more and they might somewhat could harm you.
But if you like taking boats or travelling with young children, I suggest you take the second option. Especially if you travelling more than 3 people, because it’s cheaper to rent a boat then paying the ticket for each person. The beach is free if you get there by boat. The boat is cost you about 25 to 30 USD round trip, and they are willing to negotiate the price, especially in low seasons. You also can add USD 10 more and the boat will take you to several spots around the national park peninsula. It’s better to go around it when the wave is not too high. Just tell the boat boy to pick you up at particular time of the day when you want to go back to Pangandaran beach.
This attraction of Pasir Putih Beach is open from 8 am to 5 pm. I suggest you dedicate your time for full day here, to enjoy all the activities. Don't forget to bring some food along, since there is no restaurant available in this area.
The beach itself is quite nice, but you might want to wear your beach shoes since the beach full of sharp pieces of corals and pieces of empty shells of seashell. Many activities you can do here. Just beware of your belongings, because sometime the monkey from the forest play by the beach and could still your things. While you are staying here, you can just sit by the beach enjoying the sun, find the magnificent collection of corals and sea shells for your fish tank, or snorkeling. Not so far from the beach there is the fisher man boat sunk by the Indonesian government due to illegal fishing it committed not so long ago. You can find many fish near the sinking ship because it becomes their home right now. The ship is not completely under water. Only one third of its bottom is under water while the rest of it still above water. So it’s good for picture spot.

this river is just awesome, natural beauty, the water, the stone walls, everything. the guide that served us that day are really great too. they are friendly, and explain everything really well without making me bored or something. the body rafting was super fun. one thing i remember that time, one of my friend lost her go pro, it was drowned in this river, and guess what?? the guide is kindly searching for it along the river. and it was found in 5m depth. the go pro was still on that time and record everything

the way to go to this place was not smooth at all, it was a narrow road and the asphalt was in very bad condition, after arriving at the parking lot you will find rubbish everywhere, the food sellers and the visitors still don't know the meaning of CLEANLINESS (it's too bad), the toilets were so dirty, the view was just usual view, nothing special. in short I never want to go back there

The location was at the end Batu Karas near the fish market. Access to the locations only accessible by foot or bike. Nature is very beautiful in the mangroves. Great for photographs and jogging.

my friend who is a native from Pangandaran told me about this place. the place is very good, lot of trees and flower, waterfall and nature swimming pool. very refreshing. the downside is the way we can go there, the path is so small, only for 1 car, can't imagine if we meet other car from different direction. but even on the not so good path, we still can see very beautiful view.
