This is a beautifully kept children's farmyard. There is a large range of animals, which all look very happy and the enclosures are very clean. The wooden buildings are in a very good state of repair. There are also educational signs, giving more information about the animals. This includes a room about bee-keeping, which is big in the area. Well-worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed hours of walking through the Gardens of Appeltern. Well worth your visit! We like the audio tour too (ask for your language at the entrance: Dutch, English or German). The people working there are enthusiastic and we also liked the garden shop on the way to the parking lot where you can buy some of the plants that you saw in the show Gardens. If there is one thing we would change, it would be the restaurant area. Somehow that got really warm, although the outside temperature was fine. It felt like walking into a greenhouse. Not very inviting to stay there to order the fine variety of food offered, although you could eat that on the Terrace outside.

Been here many times, my kids (5 and 8 year) love it. They run around the whole time, climbing, playing etc. Great staff. Weekends can be very busy and at those moments it can be difficult to find a table/chairs to sit. Food is very affordable and a reasonable choice. For a playground the quality of food is very reasonable.

Divingcentre Li-Diving is located in the south of Gelderland in the Land of Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. With a lot of different lakes en watersources is this the ideal location for a divingcentre. We also have our own swimming pond with a lot of different fish in it. We can give you an amazing adventure discovering the underwater world in the Netherlands. We hope to see you!

Our three year old son is a bit to young to explore all the activities along the path, but he enjoys every step of the way. Climbing, running and collecting pine cones is nicely variated with obstacles which tell the story of the creatures in the forrest. Free of charge and be sure to visit the Boshut on the other side of the parking for some refreshments!

There were some interesting works on display, mostly 20th century. Also a few old religious items. The town hall setting is nice, and the modern painting on the walls of a few rooms is remarkable. I think the Exhibitions are changing, and by 2016 the organization will change too, so everything may soon be different.

Prachtig gebied!

Be sure to choose a "Steaming Saturday" to visit this beautifully restored water pump station. It takes a few days to heat up the engine sufficiently so that you may see the installation in full function. The site is run by a group of dedicated amateurs that make it a point to keep the buildings and interiors in mint condition. It's entertaining for kids; there is a little boat that may take you out for a small tour around the station. The location, at the Maas river, is wonderful.
