Outing with the camera club - very enjoyable indeed. Relaxing, and in April, not too warm.
Took the car down to the car park, but do beware, the road has broken up badly, so it is a very slow and careful drive down not to ruin the underside of your car. A 4x4 would be ideal!

My husband and I rented the 'Friday' Electric Bikes for the day. From our initial contact via email with Dominique to taking Delivery and using the bikes it was excellent. Dominique was extremely helpful with helping us decide which bikes to hire along with the route for our bike ride. The bikes were delivered to our door, together with rucksacks with bottle of water, lock, puncture repair kit and a mobile phone with GPS software - so we did not get lost! We had a fabulous day out with these bikes and would highly recommend to anyone, irrespective of how fit you are. A great addition to our holiday. Many thanks Dominique.

The St-Cézaire cave is situated only 15 mins from the town of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world. The guided-tour, with commentary in French and English, takes place 40m underground, on a 200m long cave section, which has been adapted for easy access for all the family. Majestic draperies, imposing stalactites, star-specked concretions, luminous "jellyfish" curtains and even a sound show featuring musical stalactites. There is also a large on-site free car park, a meditteranean plant discovery path, souvenir shop, picnic area and a 6 hectare wooded park. The restaurant is open for lunch, and specialises in provençal style family cuisine.

Minor cave in short distance from Antibes/ Nice /Cannes.(Less than 50 min. drive) The cave is beautiful with a lot fantastic sculptures. Goes down some 70 meters. Its said to be very cold, however its not. Wear a long sleeve shirt and you will be fine. The histore you will find from other postings here on tripadvisor, but storytelling does sell.
Practicall Stuff:
Parking is free and just near the grotto.
The site have a nice restaurant and cafe. You should consider reservation before hand. The alternatives are minimal. We sent info the small beautifull town, which is worth a visit, however not for its restaurants. We went i high session in July and 1 restaurant was open, serving burgers as the main attraction. (Good burgers thought "Le Spot").
Tip:
You should combine this visit with visiting the lake-beach site at "OKWIDE - La Lac de Saint-Saccien", if you are visiting in the summer time. Its a fantastic site, having made a kind of beach vipe to lake, close the bridge crossing. There are Canoe, peddalboat, and water trekking for renting. Its great fun and then made the site interresting with cafe's and bars. This site can be busy as many turist opt to visit this site, however we found out that across the bridge there is a simuler site. We didnt go, however think then would have a similar setup

Not far from Frejus and the coast line you'll find this beautiful lake. Very much more calm than the hustle and bustle along the coast. Plenty of opportunities for water sports - canoing, sailing etc. And for families the pedalos are nice - if there's not too much wind.
Along both sides there are arranged parkings - mostly accompanied with cafées and restaurants.
Be aware though - if you are a tourist travelling in a rental or foreign car - the parkings are not surveilled in any way. No personnel, no cameras.
We had a break in in our rental car in the plain afternoon with many other visitors present.
Nevertheless - beautiful and calm spot.

Terre Blanche Golf

Both courses are wonderful, challenging and in great condition. Really enjoyed my 6 days. It is the after service that really shocked me.
We checked into the hotel and along with another couple and booked two rooms 4502 and 4504. Fantastic hotel, but upon check out I was hit with an additional Euro 280 bill for two extra rounds of golf.
In summary on our third day playing the championship course, we experienced several interruptions whilst playing, ground keepers digging a hole in one of the fairways, constant work and in general noisy.
The other player I was playing with from room 4502 complained after the game, at which point in time my playing partner advised me, that we were offered two free rounds.
I stress that this information was passed to me so I don't actually know the full story, the next morning we decided to play our free round, prior to the game I visited the golf shop usually tended by three polite receptionists. Basically to say thank you for the free round of golf!!!. To which they replied your welcome.
Fast forward to our check out, the guest staying in 4502 had already checked out but when I paid my bill I discovered two extra rounds of golf.
Expecting this to be quickly resolved they needed to verify this with the club. Whilst they clearly remembered the problem and accepted that the guest had complained, they claimed that the free rounds were not yet approved.
Here is my point.
1) why therefore when the request came from the guest of 4502 that they charged both games to room number 4504 ie: my room.
2) secondly when I personally approached the golf receptionist thanking them for the free round, was I not told it was yet to be approved?
I can assure you the Euro 280 is not a very largest sum of money when you consider the average room night price for the hotel.
Disappointing response from the hotel and golf club on check out.

This is a really good attraction - simple and fun, and educational. The walk through the caves is self guided with a well laid out English (or other) language commentary. Very interesting and pretty underground areas. Plus, the staff working in the attraction are very friendly and are actually very keen to ensure that you have a good time. Disabled visitors or very small kids would find the stairs hard (5+ should be fine). Road to the attraction is pretty basic (almost off-road) but passable - making it more of an event. Good, friendly and fun.

I have visited here a few times over the years. There is a huge variety of bamboos I believe around 80. It's very calming to work around. The owner is passionate with the upkeep and very knowledgeable.
I do though think it should be advertised more. If you didn't know it was there, you would miss it. It's not well signposted and on a road with no parking. You need to park inside. The visit only cost a few euros.

I'm guessing that this is the best restaurant in Saint Cezaire by a long way. Lovely setting overlooking the boule playing area, outdoor Seating, charming and english speaking waitress, good selection of food and good quality, well presented, decent wines, very reasonable prices and overall a very enjoyable evening.
